Anderson finally scores for United!

posted on 29/07/09

It’s finally happened. Anderson has figured out that the ball goes between the goalposts, not over or around them.

United are playing Boca Juniors in the Audi Cup in Munich and our Brazilian midfielder has given us the lead.

Antonio Valencia won a free kick on the right hand side on the penalty area. Anderson stepped up and curled a sweet shot into the top left hand corner, leaving the keeper with no chance.

He had previously only scored from the penalty spot in shoot-outs, but now he’s added free kicks to his collection.

Let’s hope he can find the net from open play now and start scoring more regularly.
