| Faldo has named his 2 Ryder Cup wildcards and there was widespread surprise at the omission of Darren Clarke. Some feel Faldo has picked his friend Poulter when the Northern Irish fella was the more deserving candidate.
Faldo's other pick was Paul Casey, which means that Colin Montgomerie will not play in the Ryder Cup for the 1st time in 19 years. Although on current form (he is ranked 93rd in the World) that was not a surprise.
Europe, for the 1st time in a while, are favourites to win the Ryder Cup so there will be added pressure on Faldo's picks to perform.
