HOWEVER
I have to say that many of the things said here are unrealistic. We DON'T need to buy any new players.
Van der Sar can go for another season and Ben Foster is an England international. He has the class to do a good job.
Our defense is solid, why would we buy another defender we have cover on the right in Simpson and Brown. On the left we have O'Shea for Evra. Maybe we need to do something bout this position but i'd like to see a youth player come in.
In the centre Pique is awesome and let's not forget about the injured Silvestre (WHO CAN PLAY LEFT BACK).
There's nothing to say about the midfield, we might even have too many players.
There is no need for a new striker. Rooney, Tevez, Saha and Manucho. Saha is a disappointment due to his injury problems. Why sign Manucho then buy another striker, give the boy a chance if he messes up then do something about it.
No one has as much class as we do. Any more and we might suffer the consequences like Real Madrid a couple of years ago with Figo, Zidane, Beckham, Ronaldo, Raul etc. Or we may suffer in-house fighting like Chelsea last season.
I know it's a long first post but we don't need to spend any more money.

For a first post, I thought it was a very good post and it was detailed.

I look forward to reading more of your posts.

And I do actually agree with it, but it looks like Brown is leaving in the summer, because his contract is up and he looks like he isn't going to sign a new one. So if any position needs filled, then I would say right-back.
