I wouldn't be one to watch chess now, but give the guys who play well
some credit ffs. You need to have a powerful brain to be amazing at chess.
It's a sport but just a very boring one.....

definition of sport according to me: someting that excercises you in some way or another
chess excersises the mind...making it in my opinion, a sport

The fastest is Bullet chess (every player has only 60 seconds!!). It is not boring in any way.

I used to play chess about 15 years ago (I was ranked number 6 in my local area and played in the regional finals )

I wouldn't class it as a sport tbh. I've always thought of sports requiring some physical exertion. Chess is certainly more mental than physical.
