Super Bowl in Wembley? No offense, but that is NEVER going to
happen. Super Bowl Sunday out here is considered a holiday in all
but name. To play it outside America seems ridiculous. It would be
akin to playing the CL final in New York. I can see the travel being
one reason, but Super Bowl tickets are so expensive people who
buy them might not mind the cost to fly across the pond. But still,
I'd rather not see that. Add to that the time zone difference. The
game would have to be played in prime time in America, not for
England, which means 7PM EST or something, a.k.a. 1 AM for you.
And that's only the start, add 3 hours for the game to finish, and
it appears more and more ridiculous.
Today was a very good day. United beat City with a last-gasp goal,
Da Bears win against the defending champs Steelers with a last-
gasp field goal after a tough game. And the Packers lose, which
just caps it off.![]()
Dolphins lost a close one against the Colts last night. 0-2 doesn't look good, and they do have a tough schedule. But I keep looking at their roster and thinking they have enough talent to beat a lot of teams. Come on Miami!!![]()
**** sake. The Eagles were shocking against the Saints. Their defence really needs sorting out. Good game to watch though. Watched the Buccs vs the Bills aswell. Very good game.
BTW does anyone want to start a Fantasy Football league on Yahoo. the scoring will start on GW 3
Hows it going lads. Could you give me some tips for FF. Should I put Drew Brees @ Buffalo or Philip Rivers at home to Miami in my team for this week
Drew Brees. Always Drew Brees. Guy threw for like 5k last year. Plus, the Chargers can always go with Sproles/LT, whereas Reggie Bush isn't near the quality of either of those guys.
Cheers I was thinking of going with Rivers because they have Miami. I have LT aswell
I'm in a league with 4 of my mates and I got Brees, Westbrook, LT, Peterson.
And who should I start. Steve Smith or Calvin Johnson
The Bills have no secondary, and don't have a great pass rush. Brees will do whatever the hell he wants to do. Miami is a decent team, don't let their record fool you.
Alright cheers Mike. Sort of a newbie to the NFL so thats why I dont know much.
Not a problem.
come on seahawks
Yeah, hopefully the Seahawks don't lose too bad against my
Bears. I want a nice win, but running it up against a poor team is
a bit classless. They'll be sleepless in Seattle come Sunday. If
they over-commit to defending Forte, then they'll leave Cutler tons
of room to get the ball to Hester, Knox, Olsen, etc. Plus our d-line
will get to the QB, whoever plays tomorrow, or should.
Go Bears!
Bit of an NFL newbie here. I might do an accumulator so which teams should I pick
Heres my predictions.
Cleveland @ Baltimore- Baltimore
Tennessee @ New York Jets- The Jets
Giants @ Tampa Bay- Giants
Green Bay @ St. Louis- Green Bay
Kansas City @ Philadelphia- Philly
Jacksonville @ Houston- Houston
San Francisco @ Minnesota- Minnesota
Washinton @ Detroit- Redskins
Atlanta @ New England- Patriots
New Orleans @ Buffalo- Saints
Chicago @ Seattle- Bears
Pittsburgh @ Cinncinati- Bengals
Miami @ San Diego- Chargers but only just as thy will miss LT big time IMO
Denver @ Oakland- Raiders
Indiannapolis @ Arizona- The Colts to just scrape it
Carolina @ Dallas- Cowboys easily
Daaaaaa Bears! Another 4th quarter comeback led by Cutler! Now
everybody knows why we gave up so much for him. Half time right
now between Indy and Arizona, and vintage Peyton Manning. Not
so much from Kurt Warner though.
