Seems it's been all downhill for Italy ever since their first ever game at the tournament a decade ago.

nah they look a bit stronger under mallet and would have been please with their performance today. England have beaten them 15 or so times on the trot but Italy came within 5 points today and 4 points 2 years ago, so the signs of improvement are there. In the 6 nations I think they have beaten Scotland 2 or 3 times and the Welsh once. I can see them beating Scotland, who will be shell shocked after this weekend. They also have some players out as well.

They destroyed Scotland when they were the defending champs in 2000, and aside from Bergamasco X2, there's nothing much to write home about, but they've put 2 consecutive respectable performances in against 2 of the favorites and that's commendable I suppose.

I thought they were poor against Ireland...
They have a few players. They have Parrisse who is one of the best players in the world. The lad who replaced him today was fantastic. He got MOTM. A few of their Ozzy/Kiwi players aren't half bad either. The full back, Robertson I think is his name, is a decent player. And Castro as well....If they could get a couple more class players they would be in business.

They were poor by normal standards, but staying within 20 of the defending Grand Slam winners is pretty decent for the team who finished last the year prior.

I couldn't believe the Wales v Scotland result. When Scotland were 21-9 up I thought they were cruising to victory so switched over. I flicked back on just as they were showing the replay of Wales' winning try. An amazing comeback.

England were poor against Italy and, in some respects, lucky to come away with a win. Wilkinson had a poor game - and not just with his kicking. I don't fancy our chances against Ireland or France tbh.

I agree, I thought France would lose to Wales yesterday, because at home to Italy and England, I just can't see them losing...unless England pull a rabbit out of the hat...
