vidic doubt for wednesday

Nemanja Vidic has emerged as a doubt for Wednesday's crucial first-leg of Manchester United's UEFA Champions League semi-final clash with Barcelona.



The Serbian stopper, who has been outstanding for United all season alongside Rio Ferdinand in the heart of the defence, missed training on Tuesday evening.


Reports claim that Vidic was rushed to hospital in Catalunya with a stomach complaint and had nothing to do with his recent knee injury.


Although not thought to be too serious, Vidic is now a doubt for the match and Sir Alex Ferguson could be facing a defensive headache.

OMG!! I just read that in Skysports myself and I cannot imagine to go to the Nou Camp without him...it gives me memories about last season's 3-2 win over AC Milan at home and there was no Rio or Vidic and our defence was a massive joke...Brown also trained aside from the first team with Fletcher but reports say he should be fine...so does that mean Brown in centre and Neville in rb? Or does that mean O'Shea comes in? Or does Pique get a run out against his former club and he did do well vs Arsenal...hope he does make it...and also for Chelsea!

Hopefully, it's just Fergie mind games but Vidic did miss training yesterday. Brown trained on his own so although doubtful he should make it.

If there are any updates on either's injury PLEASE update me by posting on here. I'm desperate to know all the build up, all the info. It's a MASSIVE game tonight and I'm getting nervous already!

this is bad news if he is doubtful...hopefully he will play..
but if he doesnt then i think pique should play in CB and brown continue at RB as brown has been horrible this season at CB...

As far as I hear, Vidic is very likely to play and Brown is very unlikely to play. So who to play rb? Neville, O Shea, Hargreaves.

I wouldn't mind seeing Pique play. He knows the Spanish game, knows what Barcelona are like and if Vidic or Brown couldn't play, I'd stick him in.

pique might do alright if he is to play with his knowledge and experience of the spansih game!! altho saying that i wud still prefer to start with vidic!!

Oh alrite, he won't be playin afterall tonite. Tbh, I'm very worried about Brown starting in the middle alongside Rio after his performance against Boro only justifies his liablity and shakiness...
