It has been well known now that fergie want to beat liverpool's domestic record for league titles . If note ive said if we were to win it this season that would leave us one behind . Now imagin we werent to win the league next season how long would fergie be able to go on for ?

He'd probably continue as long as he has that hunger to win. It's amazing even after 20 years and achieving so much, he still has the desire to go on. I think he'll go on until he feels that he's achieved all he can at the club.

Put it like this. I doubt we'll see him as the manager come the 09/10 season.

Guys, the time we are all dreading is coming and some day we will have to face it.

He'll be there next season though......trust me! ;)

He will stay as soon as he has knocked Liverpool off their effin perch, which should be the season after next.
but in all honesty if he won the double this season I wouldnt be surprised
to see him walk.

Ok faz, Ive lightened up ;)

Back to Fergie....in all honesty I bet he doesnt know himself.
he always said he would stay while he was healthy and enjoying it,
so lets hope he carries on for years to come.
I dont think many of us fans will be prepared for the shock of his retirement
when it does happen........ It will hit us and the team very very hard.

Ferguson won't go, not with the squad on the brink of domination once more, not with the competetion he has within him, not with the european tro[hies he has yet to win. This current squad is very well equipped to dominate at home and away in Europe as well as Domestic league. If we win it next year we'll have 3 in a row, a feat never done by anyone else other than us.. and hopefully we can get into the semi finals of the UCL next year as well, and, with a bit of the good old luck we may be able to make ze final again (with more luck we#ll face Meelan en route to the final).

so no. ferguson won't retire. He may delegate more responsibility to Mr Quieroz but Ferguson is here to stay for a long time yet mate. The squad has never been so big and brimming with footballing quality that is the envy of the European footballing community. When people start hating you again, i.e. UEFA, then you're doing something right...
