David Pleat - I can't stand the inane comments that guy makes. How he's managed to stay in the job for so long is beyond me.

I don't know the commentators too well. I manage to exist solely on a combination of Internet Highlight's (I love MOTD! :D) & SBS.

SBS is a channel in Australia. There commentators are David Bashere & Martin Taylor, I think. both are quite good in my opinion.

EDIT: Oh wait. Martin Taylor is on your list. Well I like him anyhow.

I hate Jim Beglin on ITV, the worst co-commentator there is, he wrecks my face.

Well, John Motson is a commentator, and Gary Lineker a presenter and I've never heard of Martin Taylor so thats them out the window.

But I gotta say I like Ray Wilkins. He knows what hes talking about and hes unbiased. I also like Jim Beglin. Imo, hes the best co-commentator on ITV.

I would say Ian Wright too but he's not a pundit anymore.

Of course, theres Jamie Redknapp who I hate.

Then you've got Mark Lawrenson and Alan Hansen who are both extremely crap.

I can't stand Craig Burley on Setanta. Hes so anti-United its unbelievable, so if he says a United penalty is a penalty, it MUST be a penalty.

The one against Barnsley was priceless and Le Tiss took the absolute mick out of
him lol.
I agree that Shearer, Redknapp, Burley are awful. Dixons not the best but not
as bad as the others.
The Sky sports saturday show is quality with Jeff and the boys......
Chris 'Kammy' Kamara is a legend though. hilarious watching him.

lol fair enough about phil 'big nose' thompson. i though we were saying who we hate, but i agree that his reactions are pricelss. especially vs barnsley and chelski.

Jeff stelling is brilliant. without him the whole show falls apart IMO. The way he takes the mic out of thompson, le tissier and merson is hilarious. The guy deserves a medal for making a boring show very funny.

The guy is an absolute legend, even the way he gets so worked up
when loads of goals are coming through at the same time.
He really makes the show great imo.
Funnily enough, I actually always look out for his beloved Hartlepool's results
and hope they win. I have a soft spot for the team. Thats the great influence
that Jeff has on me :o :D

lol i'll always remember the 'rant' he had on why middlesborough is a good place to live. sky don't know how lucky they are. to have him, he talks for for what 5/6 hours with barely any breaks and still keeps you on your toes.

theres a man i've heard many times before. not sure of his name. always brings up stupid statistics at the worst moments. and always blatantly states the obvious.

That just shows the sad state of punditry in the UK and it's depressing.
Ask anyone from Ireland and they will tell you that our pundits are WAY better,
the likes of Dunphy, Giles, Brady and occasionaly Souness are compulsive
viewing and usually say it how it is. Though Souness shocks me sometimes
with his complete lack of knowledge :rolleyes:

apparently SKY have told there pundits that they can not be contreversial is anyway, and apparently souness hates going on SKY because you have to really watch what you say.

this is ofcourse in contrast to RTE who seem to like bashing our players :mad:

It's just a bit of banter mate ;)
They love Scholes and say he is the greatest and a model pro etc....
They just pick on Ronnie for his antics on the pitch and maybe his
'arrogance' to some degree. They dont dispute that he is a great player
who does unbelievable things.....they just dont like him lol.....
Ronaldo is one of the most loved/hated players in the world,
either you love him or you hate him, there is no middle ground really.

Eirther way it makes for better viewing and they can say what they like so
sometimes they dont hold back......

cool, I don't know what it is but i really enjoy it when pundits compliment scholes, mainly because he's my faviorite player. I know it would be more entertaining and to be honest, i just base my feeling on them on highlights of them bashing us, so obviously i have only seen them in a negative light.

Andy Gray does my head in, especially on FIFA, but when i go to my local pub and watch the beautiful game i get to listen to his voice....annoying scot!
