Will Old Trafford Ever Host The Champions League Final Again?
We know that this seasons is in Russia, next seasons is in the Stadio Olimpico and the 2009/2010 final will be held in the Bernabeu in Spain
Now that Wembley is up and running, should the final return to England, will Wembley be selected?
Which would you prefer?
Personally, I'd love it to return to OT!

wembley is bigger than old trafford ---> more tickets for the ppl!
OT is better but in "final" situations bigger stadiums are prefered :)

Old Trafford is excellent stadium.
And Manchester is beautiful city!
I would love that there will be held the CL final.

I'd love the Champions League final to be at OT soon. I was raging we didn't get there in 2003 when Real outclassed us. Hopefully we get another chance.

Hey just out of pure curiosity you know how Wenger always complains about the state of the pitch at Old Trafford?
Is there anything to those claims. I mean granted, it's usually after Arsenal lose there :) but still... If anybody knows smooth pitches, it's Wenger.
I must admit pitch wise I'm very surprised that OT & Wembley are the only 5 star stadiums when I'd bet dollars to pesos
the Emirates has the best pitch in England. After all Wenger's style of play means even a 1mm protrusion wrecks his game plan. :D
So could someone please confirm or deny the stuff Arsene said about OT's pitch? Also is the Emirates Pitch the best/smoothest? Cheers.

1. Old Trafford and Wembley Stadium are the only UEFA 5 Star Rated Stadia in
England. Not only are the pitchs are taken into account. Seating, structure etc..
2. Our pitch has been a bit tacky of recent times. I'd be surprised if they didn't
perhaps relay it in the near future.
3. I do like The Emrites surface. But remember, its a new stadium, so its bound to
be great turf. (Aslong as the Wembley makers didn't get at it) The quality won't
last.

It will return to Old Trafford at some point, but I think, because the last final at OT was only in 2003, it won't return for a while.
But OT has just as big a chance of getting a CL final than Wembley has.

Wasn't there something in the news recently that Wembley was withdrawn as an option for some final due to the excessive demands of the "taxman" - and that the government recently backed down.

Wemble hosted it 5 times in 30 years, so it could be a while before "England" is considered as a host again.

AC Milan won on penalties against Juventus.
I remember that so well. All thos footballs lined across the pitch hanging by the roof!
Looked amazing! ;)
