On the weekend 3 Paras died in Afghanistan

After a suicide bomb attack.

The total of British troops killed over there

Reached 100 because of this.

I'm not British but ...

I do appreciate what the British do for us Romanians and for everyone
world wide when they send these guys off to war !! Without them we
would all live lives where we constantly look over our shoulders, fearful
of being blown up by some mad terrorist.

All the guys who go there have family, friends and people they love and
yet they put their lives on the line so we can enjoy the lives we do - with
our family, with our friends and with those we love.

I posted this to remind you all of the price these 100 dead soldiers have
paid so you can live the way you do ... Spare them a thought once in a
while, maybe when you're out enjoying a drink with your friends, or sat
round the table with your family for a meal or when you are cuddling up
with your girlfriend or boyfriend.

They live out there with the constant threat of being killed ...

For these 100 that threat became reality.

Life is but a stopping place,
A pause in what's to be,
A resting place along the road,
to sweet eternity.

We all have different journeys,
Different paths along the way,
We all were meant to learn some things,
but never meant to stay...

Our destination is a place,
Far greater than we know.
For some the journey's quicker,
For some the journey's slow.

And when the journey finally ends,
We'll claim a great reward,
And find an everlasting peace,
Together with the lord

Yeah, I read about this in the newspaper. This is very sad and I really can't say anything.. I really have nothing to discuss about this since it is way to sad to really discuss for me.

My condolescences go out to all there family's, Would not be happening as much if france/germany comitted more troops!!

Really aggrevates me seeing our boys risking there own lives to rid the world of terrorist/evil regimes & other country's fail to send in there forces!!

and our government pay them badly house them in conditions prisoners not allowed to be kept in then when they are injured cast them aside like rubbish .

they are badly equipped and several of those deaths should have been avoided by issue of proper kit . the mod should hang head in shame and the shower that call themselves our government should stand trial for deaths attributed to poor or lack of proper gear

My 16 year old nephew is due to go to harrogate in September,he's going to be joining the Dragoons, this is so very sad and all of our boys that have been killed or left horribly injured plays heavily on my mind.Christopher is desperate to stand for what he believes in,and even at his tender age is well aware of the danger that he will be facing every day.All of our boys that are fighting and are stationed abroad should be taken care of,but they're not. It's a travesty how our forces are Treated, and Haggler i so agree with every thing you say,and it's a pity that our government don't seem to care....
