Where are the three best towns/cities/places you have been to ? ( one sentence why )
Which are the three towns/cities/places that you wish you could go to ? ( one sentence why ).

Must be no football related.

Been to...

Fatih, Istanbul, Turkey.
A fantastic change of culture, the old parts were like being in a different world.

Phuket, Thailand.
30 yrs ago before it became popular ( and spoilt), probably the most relaxing place i've ever been in my life.

Auschwitz, Poland.
A place i wished i'd never gone to, but at the same time a place i will never forget, so much there puts life into perspective.


Wish to go to...

Cairo, Egypt.
Not the tourist destinations, but the real obscure places well away from the commercial side of things.

The Grand Canyon, USA.
Again not the tourist side of things but just to explore something that to me is one of the amazing natural wonders of the world.

The Rain forests or a remote jungle location ( can't decide where ).
To be at one with nature, to live life without everday crap and watch and share
with all the creatures that live there.


As you can see, i hate the tourist/commercial places, instead prefering
the REAL places.

Been to:

Lofoten, Norway - beutiful, relatively well preserved nature along with old & magnificent fishing villages and a possibility of a midnight Sun.

Schönau am Königsee, Berchtesgaden, Bavaria, Germany - lake Königssee, classic adorable German architecture, mountain Watzmann with a white cap, Hitler's Eagle's Nest, kind Bavarian people

Saas-Grund, canton Valais, Switzerland - classic Swiss Alps - lowing cows with extraordinary bells, marmots, mountain meadows... and it is not far away from The Mountain of all mountains - Matterhorn


Wish to go:

Alaska - paradise on Earth - mountains, lakes, snow, unspoilt nature, Alaskan Malamutes (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alaskan_Malamute)

Schwarzwald, Baden-Württemberg, Germany - when I played Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed, there was a beautiful track called Schwarzwald

Ireland - I believe that green is more green in Ireland :)


As you can see, I prefer active holidays, preferably in the Alps.

Been to...

L'oire Valley (France) - beautiful country side, friendly locals, very peaceful and the service at the hotel I stayed in was the best I have ever experienced.

Palm Springs (California, USA) - happy memories of having my 8th birthday in Palm Springs and having a pizza with a candle in the centre because my parents couldn't find a cake!

Bern (Switzerland) - one of the best holidays I had as a child, the clean air, playing football with the locals, having adventures in the woods, playing crazy golf, happy days.

Wish to go...

Amsterdam (Holland) - seems like my kind of place :D

Munich (Germany) - for the beer festival :D

New York (New York, USA) - always wanted to go to the Big Apple

I could have listed many more - Sydney (Australia), Thailand, Japan, Ireland etc

Tough question......there have been so many.

Been to:

Koh Pha-Ngan (Thailand)- warm sea water, savage buckets (whisky and thai
red bull) and absolute craziness of full moon parties.

Barcelona (Spain)- This place has it all for every person. You just need to go.

Vienna (Austria) - Just back from there so its fresh in my mind.
great city and had the best time of my life. Nuff said. (though it has a bit to do with football)

Other notables-Las Vegas, California, Ios, Biarritz, Berlin, Amsterdam, Florence, Paris, Venice.


like to go:

Sydney - Always had the urge to go and have loads of mates that have been
there or live there. My kind of place they tell me ;-)

Cairo- always wanted to see those beastly pyramids.

Kenya- safari's, beaches and a whole new world. It would be fascinating.

Been to

Paris - Weather (in summer), View (women), View (landmarks).

Rome - Weather (in summer), View (women), View (landmarks, especially Colosseum.

Been to lots of other towns, cities in France mostly but can't be arsed thinking back tbh. Beautiful country though.

Wish to

London - Just to see what it's like.

New York - Definitely want to go there for so many reasons.

New York - amazing city, so much to see and do

Philadelphia - very relaxed atmosphere, very vibrant

Paris - amazing city to spend the day wandering around in, especially with the wife!

Rome - for the history

Prague - for the sites

Moscow - Dunno why, always just fancied it!

Athens-the city wich you just have too see,get's me back few centuries ago

Dubrovnik-wonderfull old town in south Croatia on the Adriatic coast.

Romania-been to Transilvania and capital Bucuresti.A lot cool things to see
