How cool is Wayne Rooney's new tattoo?

“Just enough education to perform” reads the tattoo, coming from the name of the 2001 Stereophonics album. They are Rooney’s favourite band and performed at his Italian wedding. The song “Mr Writer”, from where the line comes from, is a dig at the English press, a viewpoint which Rooney no doubt shares.

More power to them if they want to get them
I personally think my mother would kill me if I ever got one AND I am an older man

cool tattoo in all fairness. I like the ones that are like that.
We had a thread on Tats and there was a savage one of Spiderman.

Yet he sells out with all his advertisement deals and plastering himself all over the front of magazines selling his wedding photos.
I think he loves the press. He is hardly like Scholes is he.

Personally i am not a fan of tattoos/piercings at all. I think they are hideous and tacky. frankly i have to wonder about rooney's iq in getting this one done. Will he like this band in 40 years time when he has the slippers and pipe and doing his bit of gardening.
i am on e of Rooney's biggest fans on the pitch but ffs Wayne dont become another beckham and use your body like a colouring book:mad:

So what???? If he wants to decorate his body, that’s up to him. At least it won’t affect his performance.I’m glad he picked something with some siignificance to him .i hope the press will give him a break/////////It’s not his first tattoo is it?Nothing wrong with it, loads of footballers have them,so do rooney...

I would hardly call it decorating your body more like disfiguring it if you ask me. Wayne in the position he is in is hardly giving a good example to kids or indeed his future offspring by getting displayed in ink on his body lyric's of a band that he may grow out of in the years to come.Just because other footballers get it done does not make it right. I could say a lot more about people who get tattoos but its not for this forum. I still love Wazza so I'll just put this down to the naivete of youth:)

Wyne is a young lad,i guess when still a kid ,some can idolise people with tattoo,so wazza is of no exeption.in my opinion everyone should be left to accomplish thier desires on what they like and so do rooney//////.

You are entitled to your opinion but where exactly did I label everybody in my post who has a tattoo???I didnt actually slatter everybody who has a tattoo either so please don't put words in my mouth. I am very much a person who treats everybody the way I would like to be treated so to imply otherwise is simply insulting.
What I did say is I could say a lot about people(who i know) who get these hideous marks on their skin but that is not for this football forum.
As for Rooney while I think his act was silly he is still my favourite footballer and that wil never change
