Call abroad ? i want to call my gf in spain on her mobile but i cant get through to her, i kno this is off topic but am getting worried like :( i kno the country dialling code is 0034 but where do i put this ? anyone ? ...

If its 0034 you put that at the start and lose the first 0 of her mobile,
presuming her mobile begins with a 0.
so it would be 0034(no 0)*********

The country code is 34 NOT 0034.

So you dial 00 to get international dialing tone followed by 34 the country code followed by her number.

What's interesting to note is that in some countries the mobile numbers DO start with a zero, so you might have to use it. But in most cases if you're given a phone number which starts with zero, it's only meant for domestic usage, so you can drop the zero.

Let's say her mobile number is 12345678, you would, pick up the phone and dial:

00 34 12345678

..... and be prepared to get the voice mail, cos she's getting her freak on with the OTHER dude :D

But when I'm calling the UK I have to use 011 (011 44 blah blah blah)

44 is Englands country code. The 011 must be for Americans to dial internationally.

The number you should be calling is:

00 34 7896 256 256

Dial outside England

Code for Spain

Mobile number with the zero at the beginning removed.

I only dial international from work, and we have to use a leading 9 so technically it's 9-011 ;)

who gave me total wrong information of what
to dial for his mobile ( cell phone) when he came
to Manchester so we could meet up. :p

The ring tones are different abroad, so it probably was ringing. just keep trying.
