Hi im a boro fan from www.smogchat.com and as part of the build up to our game on Saturday we were hoping you would be good enough to answer a few short questions to provide us with your fans views

1. If you win the treble again would you like to see Sir Alex retire at the top of his game?

2. After Chelsea signed Shevchenko & Ballack did you really expect to be top of the league at this stage of the season?

3. Any good or fun memories from games against us you would like to share?

4. Do you actually rate Saha as anything more than a squad player?

5. Ronaldo is with no doubt the best player in the premiership at the minute but at times he does fall down far too easily! Do you care? Or is a win a win? If he was to sign for Real and come back and “Win” a penalty how would you feel?

6. Who is the boro player that will be the biggest or closest thing to a threat to you on Saturday?

7. Will Stewart Downing be Ryan Giggs replacement down your left wing?

8. How are you feeling now since the glazers took over, following the major outcry when it happened?

9. What will the score be on Saturday? Oh and do you get sick of the stupid kick off times like 5.15?

10. We are bound to be linked with your squad players in the next few months, what do you think the chances are of a O’shea, Fletcher or Smith ending the summer in a boro shirt?

your views will likely be used on our site in a feature article, thank you in advance and enjoy the rest of the season

1. If you win the treble again would you like to see Sir Alex retire at the top of his game?

I don't think so, we can get another couple of seasons out of him yet

2. After Chelsea signed Shevchenko & Ballack did you really expect to be top of the league at this stage of the season?

Money doesn't buy chemistry in my honest opinion, because they spent so much money on these players and they arent playing up to their renowned standard they can't be sold as it will make chelsea look like a failure

3. Any good or fun memories from games against us you would like to share?

your team whining like monkeys every time we win a penalty :)

4. Do you actually rate Saha as anything more than a squad player?

He's too injury prone, when he plays he scores goals. however at the moment he's just a waste of wages and he needs to be sold in the summer

5. Ronaldo is with no doubt the best player in the premiership at the minute but at times he does fall down far too easily! Do you care? Or is a win a win? If he was to sign for Real and come back and “Win” a penalty how would you feel?

Well it's certain he won't be signing for real and I think there are loads of other players in the premiership who go down very easily.. cough drogba and carvalho.

6. Who is the boro player that will be the biggest or closest thing to a threat to you on Saturday?

Yakubu probably and if Schwarzer plays like he did in the fa cup it will be a tough game but boro have been very very poor as of late

7. Will Stewart Downing be Ryan Giggs replacement down your left wing?

not a chance

8. How are you feeling now since the glazers took over, following the major outcry when it happened?

they're leaving the job on the pitch to the staff and not interfering, and as long as there's money for players I won't whine :)

9. What will the score be on Saturday? Oh and do you get sick of the stupid kick off times like 5.15?

3 - 0 united and that's a good time for me as I like to go shopping on a Saturday and come home to watch the game with a nice cold beer

10. We are bound to be linked with your squad players in the next few months, what do you think the chances are of a O’shea, Fletcher or Smith ending the summer in a boro shirt?

O'Shea Fletcher and Smith won't be leaving, O'shea is a great utility player and Smith is playing very well up front with Rooney. Fletcher however is another case, there is interest in him from celtic and everton but he's a decent player to have when the main players need a rest or are injured.

1. If you win the treble again would you like to see Sir Alex retire at the top of his game?

No, i'd like to see him 1 or maybe 2 years more as a united manager. He rebuild the team, we should give him the chance to show us what he can achieve with this team. And imo i think he's the one to throw the towel, not united.

2. After Chelsea signed Shevchenko & Ballack did you really expect to be top of the league at this stage of the season?

Difficult q to answer but i think we were lucky to have no serieus injuries during the 1st half of the season and every single player is able to score goals which is very important. Shev didnt score at the beginning of the competition, nor did Ballack.

3. Any good or fun memories from games against us you would like to share?

cant think of any.

4. Do you actually rate Saha as anything more than a squad player?

I dont, he's a squad member and he's a good squad member. Every single player of united is a good squad memeber otherwise they'd be sold to Boro ;)

5. Ronaldo is with no doubt the best player in the premiership at the minute but at times he does fall down far too easily! Do you care? Or is a win a win? If he was to sign for Real and come back and “Win” a penalty how would you feel?

It's all in the game, stop whining bout that. David Q forgot Robben btw.

6. Who is the boro player that will be the biggest or closest thing to a threat to you on Saturday?

Dunno, we'll have to wait and see.

7. Will Stewart Downing be Ryan Giggs replacement down your left wing?

No

8. How are you feeling now since the glazers took over, following the major outcry when it happened?

I'm feeling just fine thank u :) I didn't discover much problems this far. As long as they don't tell us what to do with transfers and line-ups and things like that it's ok.

9. What will the score be on Saturday? Oh and do you get sick of the stupid kick off times like 5.15?

score will be 2-1 for united and i dont really care about the kick-off times.

10. We are bound to be linked with your squad players in the next few months, what do you think the chances are of a O’shea, Fletcher or Smith ending the summer in a boro shirt?

I think they all can sign for better clubs then boro, no offence. O'Shea an Smith wont leave. Perhaps Fletcher but i think he'll stay.

1. If you win the treble again would you like to see Sir Alex retire at the top of his game?
No. He still has what it takes and having Rooney and Ronaldo to mould will ensure that he does indeed stay.

2. After Chelsea signed Shevchenko & Ballack did you really expect to be top of the league at this stage of the season?
No. I personally did not. I still feel that the lack of our squad's depth and the squandering of chances (West Ham, Portsmouth) will allow Chelski to grab the top spot.

3. Any good or fun memories from games against us you would like to share?
None that I can remember. But I do know that Boro are one of our bogey teams, much like Bolton is to Arsenal. Still, Boro players have always been great players on and off the pitch.

4. Do you actually rate Saha as anything more than a squad player?
Yes. For the first half of our season, he was one-half of our primary strike pair.

5. Ronaldo is with no doubt the best player in the premiership at the minute but at times he does fall down far too easily! Do you care? Or is a win a win? If he was to sign for Real and come back and “Win” a penalty how would you feel?
You too as a Boro fan must admit that his balance has definitely improved adn he doesn't fall over as easily as he used to. To answer the other parts of your question - To have anyone score against you is bad but to have a former player (and especially one so skillful) come back and score would be very disoncerting.

6. Who is the boro player that will be the biggest or closest thing to a threat to you on Saturday?
I'm evenly divided between your Aussie Marks - Schwarzer and Viduka

7. Will Stewart Downing be Ryan Giggs replacement down your left wing?
He could be. Indeed, I think he would blossom at United, but on current form and if I were a scout I'd be pointing out Nani or even Aaron Lennon to Sir Alex.

8. How are you feeling now since the glazers took over, following the major outcry when it happened?
No difference. In fact, we're at a better position this year. The only thing I'm thankful for is that they kept the faith with Sir Alex after our UCL exit last year.

9. What will the score be on Saturday? Oh and do you get sick of the stupid kick off times like 5.15?
3-1 United win.
Actually, it works out decently well for me here in India - it's the late 2000 GMT kickoff that disrupts my sleep patterns.

10. We are bound to be linked with your squad players in the next few months, what do you think the chances are of a O’shea, Fletcher or Smith ending the summer in a boro shirt?
Zero. But if you offer us Downing, we'll let you have Richardson + 3 mill. GBP. ;-)
