and before you say anything am posting this in here because it wont let me acess tickets and matchdays forum :)

Right very simply is it more or less impossible to get away tickets at the normal price unless your an executive or season ticket holder? Last season all i managed were a few home cup games !I am a one member by the way.

Basically yes, Away teams only get a small percentage of tickets which for prem grounds is normally about 3 - 4,000. Season tickets holders and exec members snap them up straight away.

You're not even guaranteed as a season ticket holder.

aye im a season ticket holder and the first few away games aint even applicable to me unless the high ups dnt snap them up. if you wanna go away games you need a season ticket unless you wanna pay at least £250 on the black market for one

away tickets are as rare as a liverpool league championship , as a season ticket holder with 3 tickets we got blown out all last season for league games but got all the euro aways.
the season before was a record i actually 3 away league tickets , i think that was a one off

Unfortunatly aways are really difficult to get. Like you said unless you've got a ST or are and Executive member then you may as well forget it most the time.

It just depends who you know as well. A couple of lads I know have got friends who are Executive Members through their business, so they can get tickets off them sometimes.

Myself as a ST holder only got two league games through the club last season, Spurs and Blackkburn, and had to fend for others myself.

If your a One United member, your best bet for an away ticket would be Champions League Aways, but they can be really awkward for some people. Or if we drew a team with a big stadium in the early round of the Carling Cup, e.g. Villa. But even then it's not the most appealing game.

i think the nitty gritty is you have to be an executive member or you have no chance.

Spot on mate that is the one i enjoy the most , dont usually get a ticket in the united end and always end up in the middle of the villa , when united score as they usually do at villa , all hell breaks loose with the brummies

think his trying to imply that the carling cup atmosphere is dyer compared to normal away days. dont think his targetting villa away personally just they have a big away section so tickets will be available cause not many fans travel for the cc

yes jd_united did , but i was commenting on stephens post.
anyway villa away is superb drinks in the city centre , then onto the cap and gown for more beer , then once inside the atmosphere is usually banging.
villa park is one of our luckiest and best away venues , i personally have fantastic memories from there for singing , winning , drinking everything thats why its my favourite

Villa Park is our second home! We love it there, they hate us there, and Giggsy loves it there.

5:15's over and over again there too.

Viva five fifteen
Viva five fifteen
On the lash all day
Then watch United play
Viva five fifteen

:D

Top top aways.

Give me Villa, West Brom or Blackburn away anyday over any southern away and its much better than Liverpool too. Which always has some JCL in there taking photos. How they get tickets I don't know.

I'm glad you could understnad mate

Looking back it did look a bit bad what I wrote. I just meant we get a fair number of tickets at Villa Park and if it was in the Carling Cup midweek, maybe lads couldn't get down.

Wasn't an attack on Villa away though at all. Got down there in December '06 and had a top day :D

Oh, I do apoligise.

Carling cup away will still be better than most homes. If theres a game then there will be a good vocal support there. Expect for Old Trafford.

Does anybody on here know people who often have away tickets available as I'm a one year season ticket holder and have exactly the same problem. I'm desperate to get to Blackburn away as the atmosphere at Ewood is usually quality. Thanks.

You can be entered in the ballot with a season ticket if you apply.

Not many away tickets really go for cash, you really have to have swaps. I've saw plenty about for Pompey tonight, but that was obvious.

Blackburn - one of the best of the season. At 5.30, on a Saturday. Tickets will be like rocking-horse crap.

Tout, jib or get lucky in the ballot is the only options really.

impossible really!! to have a good chance you need to be a season ticket holder who applies for all cup home games and applies for most away games.

there is a real high demand and people even swap big home games for away tickets.

Stephen

Tout is your only chance here.

Unless you have away/big four home games to swap.

But does anyone out there have any links that could get me an away ticket . I've never been to an away match - I'm desperate.

the only thing i can think of would be to go to the game and find a tout, but be prepared to pay over the odds.

Stephen

You won't get many aways without swaps.

I was lucky to get a Villa away last season just for cash. And that was only because we got a massive allocation.

The 4 big home games we have do have a chance of getting swaps for aways if you look in the right place. City at home was a more wanted game to go to last season than Spurs away (around the same time i think) for obvs reasons.
