Portuguese winger Cristiano Ronaldo has confirmed he had a bust-up with Ruud van Nistelrooy, but dismissed the spat as a 'storm in a teacup'. Dutch striker van Nistelrooy's future at Manchester United is in serious doubt after he was removed from the squad by Sir Alex Ferguson, with the Scot claiming he made the move for 'the sake of team morale'.
All parties have remained tight lipped on the reasons behind van Nistelrooy's fall from grace, although rumours pointed to a spat between the pair. Ronaldo has confirmed the pair had a disagreement, but believes it has been blown out of proportion.
"Quarrels happen in all teams, in all professions," said the skilful winger. "It's normal to have small disagreements. "That's what happened, something perfectly normal. "People are turning it into something and it's only a storm in a teacup." Sky Sports News
