Man United's Park leads Korea comeback
Angelo Sticca in Frankfurt - June 14, 2006
Korea Republic's come-from-behind victory over African debutante Togo had a distinct English flavour thanks to the efforts of Manchester United's Sung Ji Park.
Park was instrumental in leading the Koreans back into the contest, albeit against 10 man after Togo's captain Jean Paul Abalo was sent-off early in the second period.
Whilst Jung Hwan Park was awarded man of the match for his cracking 72nd minute winner, it was the hard working Park who controlled the Korean attacking lines.
Another English based player in Spurs defender Young Pyo Lee also impressed for the Koreans.
Togo's shock lead in the 32nd minute was thanks to Guingamp striker Mohamed Kader. Kader certainly put himself in the shop window after an outstanding display which included his cracking goal from 18 yards out.
Disappointing however was Togo's Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor, who looked out of sorts throughout.
