I'll try the new Fifa, can't see it getting close to PES though. The game play on PES is way, way ahead of Fifa.

FIFA will always be aimed at kids and PES will always be aimed at the more mature consumer. No kids play PES, no one over 14 plays FIFA.

Not really. I noticed the progression myself. As a 10 year old I used to buy all the endorsed games with pictures of my heroes on the front like David Beckham. Then my mate who was about 2 or 3 years older than me introduced me to ISS, the original competitor. I didnt understand why all the names where wrong so I didnt really catch on to it. Then one day I got bored of the unrealistic half way line goals so I went to town to buy another football game. I brought PES 2 and never looked back.

Me too. But FIFA 07 improved many things that annoyed me in the previous FIFAs and PES 6 is just a little bit better than PES 5 and 4.

The biggest fault of all FIFAs are stupid golmans. Sometimes it seems like they do not have AI :-)

According to the official homepage (EA.com), this game will be released on PC, PlayStation 2, PSP, Nintendo DS, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii.

BUT according to the IGN.com: "It's coming this Autumn on every format possible.." maybe this means, that games for xbox360 are also playable on xbox? I don't know, I'm not the owner of xbox.

I've been playing FIFA games since 1998 and Pro Evo since PES 4.

I'm a fan of both and will continue to buy both. FIFA 07 was the closest they have got to PES in terms of gameplay and I'm looking forward to seeing how they improve further with FIFA 08.

Looks amazing....and as for the FIFA vs PES, i am a fan of both(why not)
they both have thier equal qualities but apprently fifa is alot like pes this year as to the way it moves so i shall be gettin both :D

i had all 4 games last year (fifa world cup, fifa 07, pro evo 6, and champions league 06/07) on the 360. imo fifa 07 was the worst game out of all 4

i thought pro evo was top as usual ive been playing the konami game since it was iss pro. but i have to say i thought chamions league was the best out of the 4.(maybe coz it was released well after the other 3 ) i will be buying both fifa 08 and pro evo7 this year. fifa i'll play with my sons and pro evo with the lads, online, etc.

Especially the characteristic movement of the players is far better in Pro Evo. (e.g. Ronaldo's harmonious movement)

Ive played pro evo since ISS 98 (basically the first proper football game that konami did) and theres no doubt it is the best football series ever made. Fifa has improved but its light years behind pro evo on gameplay and most other features.

I've got FIFA 08 now and like the Be A Pro feature. I've only tried it with strikers so far but I'm starting to get the hang of running into space and it's an interesting way to play the game.

I spend a lot of time as C Ronaldo on the loading screen just doing fancy tricks, flicks and turns before belting it past the keeper and watching the replay - that's a good feature too.

The commentary is as glitchy as ever and how Sunderland managed to score after 12 minutes of injury time against me when there were no sodding injuries I don't know but other than that it's a good game.

Well, 2 teams from Premier League are licensed in every PES, I think:). (This time it should be Newcastle Utd and Tottenham Hotspur)

I bet fans will make addons for PES 2008 as soon as possible, so it doesn't matter that original game won't include licenses...
