Manchester United's unsettled striker Ruud van Nistelrooy has attracted the interest of Bayern Munich coach Felix Magath.
The Holland international fell out with United boss Sir Alex Ferguson last season and is thought to be weighing up his options at Old Trafford.
He has been linked with a move to Bayern and Magath admits he would love to pair Van Nistelrooy with his Dutch compatriot Roy Makaay.
"Ruud van Nistelrooy is one of the best strikers in the world and the chance of working with a top player like him doesn't come around every day," Magath told Sport Bild magazine.
Bayern have won the domestic double in Germany for the past two seasons and have the financial clout to lure Van Nistelrooy to Bavaria.
They have already signed Germany international Lukas Podolski and Belgium defender Daniel van Buyten with a view to next season.
