Dong Fangzhuo joins tour party

Dong Fangzhuo has flown into Macau to join up with his United team-mates following China's exit from the Asia Cup.

Sir Alex confirmed the 22 year old striker has been reunited with the Reds but said that he will not be involved in the team's remaining two matches in their Far East tour.

'He needs a rest after being involved with the Asian Cup for the past three weeks. He is a good young player and we have high hopes for him.'

Got news of that a few hours ago .... I suspected he would have be playing against the upcome opponents! But no!

I thought the same...i was thinking that he may be involved in at least one of the last two tour matches. Fergie is basically saying that Dong is exhausted!....although he's probably doing the right thing in not playing the lad. Seems strange to see a player join up with the squad and not play.
