Bigger spaces for Manchester United aces
30 July 2007

by Stuart Milne
Premiership champions Manchester United are building a bigger car park – because their players' massive motors won't fit.

Stars have complained their cars won't fit in the standard-sized spaces at the team's Carrington training ground, according to today's Sun newspaper.

Wayne Rooney has bought a huge top-of-the-range Hummer H2 costing £70,000, while pals Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs drive Range Rovers and winger Cristiano Ronaldo has a Bentley Continental GT.

"The lads keep trying to outdo one another with bigger and bigger motors. When Ronaldo car pulls up it looks as wide as a house – it's huge" an insider told reporters.

"We never know what they are going to come to work in next."

Over the past year, a host of cars previously owned by current and former Manchester United footballers have appeared on Auto Trader, including:

David Beckham - GMC Yukon Denali and Ford F-150
Ryan Giggs - Range Rover
Roy Keane - Audi RS6
Gary Neville - Bentley Continental GT
Rio Ferdinand - BMW X5 and Jaguar XK
Fabien Barthez - Mercedes S-Class

haha comedy. I remember i read Richardson would arrive at training with a new flashy car every so often to show off when he was nothing but a bench warmer.

Just shows they earn too much money

It was alleged at the time that Keane's diatribe on MUTV was aimed at Richardson who had just ordered a Bentley which (from his position on the bench at OT) Keane must have thought truly ridiculous and overblown.

Makes signing him for Sunderland all the more puzzling...

HAHAHA. Richardson is the epitomy of ****. Seriously, SAF, WTF. Why on earth did you buy him at all! He is a waste! Hopefully Keano will sort him out and kick his head in.

They would show more class if they turned up for work on a bike . Its kind of rubbing salt into the wounds of real fans who find it too expensive to go to games anymore .

He was brought to the club as a kid and came through the ranks at old trafford. He's got potential no doubt but his attitude is one of the worst I've seen in a player.

Unless Roy has been pressurised into buying him then it could prove to be a mistake. He also knows him well enough to know how to handle him, but personally i think he is crap.

He must have cheated his way through it all. Or everyone just thought his potential hadn't blossomed yet. It wont blossom at all mate. He lost every ball, every pass was a miss, every shot was wide. Pathetic.

I guess Sir Alex and Eriksson have lost their minds aye ? He has the ability, his attitude was a disgrace to the profession though.
