I really dont know how you can call a club who are 8 or 7 divisions below the premiership glory hunters it just seems you have something against the club but i think its kind of nice to see a little club doing so well and have such goals such as having there own 10 thousand seated stadium by the 2010-11 season.

when did they all leave old trafford ? when we were on a dip an hadent won anythin worth while they knew they win that league an then they started 2 come bck last year when we won the title again i class that as bein glory hunters

Yes they have said before that the support Man United but the wont go to match's then there are the fans of FC who go to the match's because they cant afford the old trafford tickets why pay £120 to bring your family to one match when you can get 2 season tickets for LESS

I follow FC united but Im still 100% manchester United Fan!!! If these people felt strongly about the Glazer take over, and lets face it, we all did feel strongly!! Then they were totally within their right to set up another club!

To call them traitors is just insane!! they are not traitors!! They felt so strongly about United that they had to do something! And they have all said that if Glazer goes, they will come back!! And the vast majority of them have not been to Old Trafford since the take over!!! This isnt a problem to United, because there is enough supporters out there!!

Stop bitching about FC United and its supportes and get on with supporting your team!!!

If you want to watch the best you have to pay the price !!!

You cant have Manchester football at Leeds prices can you ?

You cant have Porsche car for Mondeo prices can you ?

You cant fly first class at economy prices can you ?

Everyone wants cheap tickets to watch the best team - this is bad business !!

Some right rubbish being posted on this thread.
Fact. Rhodri Giggs, does not play for FCUM, left and joined Curzon end of last season.
Fact. Traitors ?? WTF. Long standing Reds of 20, 30, 40 and in some cases 50 years, who still support MUFC but refuse to pay the inflated prices or the ****ing yank gimps debt are now traitors. You are taking the ****.
Fact. Glory hunters ??? Most at FCUM were supporting United in the 60s, 70s and 80s when United were going through **** patches, especially in the mid 70s in the second division. Glory hunters are the ****s sat, yes sat, in OT who couldnt even tell you the names of the Babes, who sit there playing games on their mobiles, talking to their wives or mates, who paid £50 for their ticket and go once a year.
50,000 United fans sang " NOT FOR SALE ", 2,500 meant what they sang.
Some people really do need to read up on FACTS about why and how FCUM were formed before spouting ***** that they've heard off a mate at school.
100% respect to FCUM supporters for standing by ther principles. FC United made by the fans, for the fans, and run by the fans. Football for the masses not the upper classes.

Some of the children on here think its a sin to support FC United when in actual fact its United fans with the strength of their convictions and the guts to follow it through. I wish them all the best, hope they make it BIG TIME and continue from strength to strength. Mostly its bravado talk, and they know sod all about football, let alone United. They have never known life outside a Ferguson, never known life below 4th in the Premiership and certainly never tasted defeat after defeat which was not all that long ago! When you have gone to Old Trafford, from the heartland of their bitter rival LFC, wearing the colours through said town, in the rain and the snow, endured the remarks cast in your direction to watch a team in the "old" second division - then thats a supporter - oh! was that me, of course it was!!

Honest answer mate ?? Would be most FC fans worst nightmare come true, never want it to happen. I think you would find 90% of Fc United fans would not go to the game, want no-one to win and could not cheer for either team. How could long standing reds of 40 years want to see United beaten, the same as how could they want FCUM, the team they have founded, put money into and built from scratch, to be beaten.
Be a very, very sad day indeed for thousands.

Please dont be abusive like this - I think no need for this.....maybe BALROG is like me and doesn't understand about the FC United !!

Maybe it is nice if someone makes a thread to tell us all about this.

Many people here try to make younger people like me feel awkward because we dont have the memories from the 70s, 80s etc etc - not my fault I was not born then is it ?

And I have only known Fergie too - he is in charge 1 year less than I have been alive, lol.......I would also love to go to every game at Old Trafford but I live long way away in Bucuresti a lot of the time so how can I ?

Does this make us different from other United fans - does this make us no good to be supporter ?

I spend money online many time in the Megastore - this money helps pay for new players etc etc - so I support them in my own way.

There are millions of United fans all round this world you know - and without them United will be very poor with no money !!!

However - I get a feeling unless you are from Manchester and go to every game - people think less of you.........and this is not good way to be.

I do agree with most of what EVERYONE says but there is no need for people to think less of others on here and make abuse ok.......maybe try explaining things to others so EVERYONE understands is the best way forward.

Salford Red explain many thing to me about The Glazer family so now I have many different views on this subject too - views I didn't have until he make clear things for me !!!

The great thing about debate is that not everyone agrees with everyone else, all the time. If we did it would be extremely boring. BUT, its possible to debate with name calling. Its called being grown up! Just because your opinion does not agree with someone else is not reason to slag another off, agree to disagree if you must but be more circumspect about it.

ManchesterKid
02-09-2007, 04:02 PM
It meens to talk down to someone, or to say something in a way that is designed to make that person feel bad or stupid.

The dictionary has this definition:

patronising -
adjective
(used of behavior or attitude) characteristic of those who treat others with condescension

Wont use this forum to try to promote FC United so if anyone wants links to anything to do with FCUM just ask and i'll do my best.

And Carly i never posted links or facts about the Gl*z*rs to change anyones mind but its great to read you have a little bit of a different view after reading a few facts. Knowledge is a great thing and its good that everyone has their own opinions, makes the world a more interesting place.

FC United debut success
Sunday, 02 September 2007.
________________________________________

The FA Cup sponsored by E.ON
Preliminary Round
Saturday 2 September 2007
Winning clubs receive £1,000

FC United of Manchester have made a triumphant debut in The FA Cup by beating local rivals Trafford 5-2 in front of 2,500 at Altrincham’s Moss Lane ground.

The game proved to be an end-to-end affair as FC United – formed by Manchester United fans disgruntled when the Glazer family took control at Old Trafford - raced into an early two goal lead before Trafford hit back to level.

FC United took control in the second half, however, with Robert Nugent, Simon Carden, Joshua Howard, Nick Platt and Anthony Hargreaves scoring the goals that set up a meeting with Fleetwood in the second preliminary round.

And FC United manager Karl Marginson was delighted with his team’s performance: “We played so well,” said Marginson.

“The game was played in a great spirit and both teams were able to get the ball down and play, which made for a fantastic spectacle.

“There were some great goals and the fans have gone home having been royally entertained, so everyone is really happy at how the day has panned out.

“At the start it was almost like the old days of the FA Cup – there were fans with rosettes, cardboard cut-outs of the FA Cup and a really good attendance, which benefited both teams.

“Everyone at FC United of Manchester has waited two years since the club was formed to play in the FA Cup as so many people associated with us are former fans of Manchester United.

“I can definitely say it was worth the wait.”

And Marginson revealed history was about to repeat itself in the next round as FC United have been drawn to play Fleetwood – the team against which Newton Heath, who became Manchester United, made their FA Cup debut in 1896.

“It’s amazing that our second FA Cup game will be against the team that Manchester United made their debut against 111 years ago,” said Marginson.

“It will be a tough tie, but the spirit of the FA Cup is alive and well, and at non-league level that’s what it is all about.”

Carly, i think you have totaly the wrong ideas on FCUM the club and their supporters, They are still 100% UNITED, but just do not go to games etc. There is no way any of them would cause headaches for anyone here.
Yes they do have there own forum and on there they have a Manchester United forum and it is used a hell of a lot more than the one on here. Yes i go on that one as well lol.
FCUM supporters have no problems with United supporters whatsoever. In fact it is the other way round, but that is from so called reds who cannot understand their principles.

And to answer another point FCUM is part of Manchester United and their history.
They were born from and because of the love for MANCHESTER UNITED.

4 more wins and they are in THE FA cup 1st round. That would be quality.

FC United can suck my balls. Nothing but a group of Morons that left predicting a leeds-style demise, and then probably returned again now that we are champions.
I don't give a s**t what their reasons are, if you walk away from OT then to f**k with you, Don't come back!

Back to school this week i think.
Obvious you are just spouting off what a couple of your mates have said. Good to see you can converse intelligently.

I think the point is that the more some people fear that they may not be as pure a Red as other people (e.g. they come from Surrey or have never been to OT once), the more they need to bang on about what Top Reds they are. And the easiest way to do that these days is to dis other Reds as being less pure.

It happened during the Glazer takeover process when certain people were swearing blind that, if Glazer ever owned the club, they'd tear up their season ticket and boycott OT. Glazer eventually takes over and surprise surprise chuck, we all have to jump out of the way as the same people start backpedalling at top speed. Because their brave claims to be manning the barricades were nothing to do with a love of United and everything to do with their need to appear to be "Top Reds". FC will never be in the Premiership, are barely noticed by the media and there are always thousands of stockbrokers in Cheshire to fill the empty seats at OT so FC is no threat to United, only to the ego of some "Reds" who wanted their brave promises about what they'd do if Glazer took over to be quietly forgotten and who resent FC representing a permanent reminder that some people meant what they said and did something about it.

I don't care whether you stayed at OT or not but, when I see so called Reds slagging each other off either as gimps for going to OT or as Judases for going to Gigg Lane, all I see is ******s whose attachment to their club is nothing to do with a love of the club and everything to do with their own ****ing ego.

Try to remember that there are many old lads at FC who stuck by United in the REALLY lean years (relegation and 26 years without the League) and whose arses aren't fit to be kissed by some of the schoolboys on here who discovered football after Italia 90 and who reckon that they're battle-scarred warriors for suffering 1990-99 and who measure their dedication to the cause by managing to weather the drought of only winning the League every other year.
