Since when was Anderson a striker? Hes a midfielder. And Tevez is a support striker. Berbatov is what you call a striker, people like Rooney and Tevez feed off people like that.

Since when was Anderson a striker? Hes a midfielder. And Tevez is a support striker. Berbatov is what you call a striker, people like Rooney and Tevez feed off people like that.

I guess that is a sort of answer to my question. Rooney and Tevez are both Forwards then.... Anderson i've been told plays upfront and well i've read in some places he can play anywhere... LB or RB. We'll have to wait and see where he fits in.

Where is all this money coming from as well. We were dead broke 12 months ago. We only signed Carrick!

If Anelka, defoe, martins or berbatov had come in, we d have had a set of strikers as good as anyone, with the poss exception of Barca but without that , we are a striker short and relying on Saha s fitness, for the season, not a great prospect! Four out, including Ruud and one in, a big mistake, in my opinion!!!

Getting Rid of Ruud to me was no great loss, it opened up United's play and clubs did not know what to expect. Where as when we had Ruud it was same old 6 yard stuff.
Getting rid of Rossi, that was a mistake. Smith would have helped our Striker problem but he is not United standard, life at Newcastle will be good for him. But he was committed when he played.

I watched dong in the pre-season friendly against peterborough and although he scored he was ****!! He simply isnt good enough for manchester united. Certainly not at the moment and I doubt he ever will be.

We have signed tevez but what are you talking about anderson?? He is a midfielder and we are desperately in need of an out and out goal scorer, a goal poacher. Someone to get in the box and nick the 6 to 10 yard goals.

for the last time.. an another striker would be alright but united DOESNT need an exrtra one.. in a couple of weeks Saha, Tevez and Giggs will compete for the same spot (who will start with Rooney).. with promising youngsters like Campbell and Dong on the bench we certainly dont need a striker..

Ole has retired, so if Saha picks up any knocks, then we are down to Tevez and Rooney. Tevez is a great great player, however, he is very similar to rooney! I do believe that they could play well together, but we have to be prepaired for supensions and injuries!!!

But back to Giggs, hw plays his best football in his natural position, which is NOT upfront!!!!

u cant base transfers on assuming that Saha will pick up an another injury.. what if he doesnt????

say that in january we get Berbatov.. now we will have 4 strikers if we dont count Giggs as one.. will Berbatov, Tevez or Saha accept to sit on the bench for the rest of the season? Most of our aerial threat comes from corners and set pieces and we have the likes of Vidic and Ferdinand are both strong in the air and get up for these! Also we have Rooney is who jumps and battles!!!!

What we need is someone that can get into the box and nick the goals amongst any confusion!!

Ive said before that getting rid of Ruud VN was a good move, however, I do feel that we need someone like him to get in the box and pinch those "soft" goals!!!! Only someone without the attitude that he had!!!

Having someone tall simply to use as a target man is **** football and simply not the united way!!!! Long live the great, exciting, attacking football that we have seen over the last 10 years!!!

it wont hurt having a top class striker.. but only when we had ruud around we had our top scorer being the striker itself.. but since past 2 years we have so many scorers in the team.. we dont need the striker, we just need to convert the chances to goals.. and even rio can do it on his day!!!... mu has been a 11 man team. not a ***** team like liverpool (gerrard), chelski (lampard)... they focus on one player and the team plays around him.. WTF... we dont need n indispensable player.. !!!!!!!!!!!!
