United to retain Blue Away Kit

United are reassuring fans who've bought the blue away kit that the colour and design will be retained next season.

The only part of the shirt that will change is the sponsor logo. Vodafone will be replaced by AIG, following Thursday's announcement of the £56.5m deal with the financial services group.

A spokesman for United said: "Under the terms of our Club Charter, we are entitled to change all of our kits for next season. But we thought it would be fairest to our fans if we kept the blue kit, given it was only introduced last summer.

"The AIG logo will be on all of our shirts from the start of 2006/07, but otherwise the blue shirt will be identical to the one worn by the players during the current season."

United will launch two kits this summer - a new red home shirt and one new away kit.

I dont know if this is good news or bad news, to be honest, I'm not a fan of the blue kit at all. I preferred the white away kit or the black that we had.

The blue kits aren't my favourite, but as I own this shirt, I'm glad it won't be changed.

My favourite was the centenary kit we had during the 01/02 season was it? I remember it was gold and it was reversible too.

i loved the green and yellow away kit with the laces in the neck from the early 90s,
the one Cantona scored Vs crystal palce in with a half volly from the edge of th box

fink united should bring out a new one like that, im sure nike could create a belter

New Utd Home kit to be unveiled next Friday in South Africa. The club confirm it will be a special 1950`s style in memory of the Busby Babes.

sure the last time we won the premiership we wore a blue kit rite not the same one but it was blue all the same!!!!!!!

I remember United beating Middlesboro away to win the Premiership and they wore a blue kit.

The black away kit was awesome.
The white kit was cool too.
The blue is alright, but I'd prefer those other two.
I don't feel that blue is United's colour... reminds me too much about Chelsea.. ;)
