Giggs: We're better equipped

Manchester United winger Ryan Giggs believes Sir Alex Ferguson's men are better equipped for the UEFA Champions League success this season.

A depleted Red Devil's side were knocked out by AC Milan in the semi-finals of the competition last term, and a lack of quality back-up cost them dear.

But over the summer Ferguson has strengthened his side with Owen Hargreaves, Nani, Anderson and Carlos Tevez, and the squad now looks more capable of dealing with absentees.

Giggs highlighted the new acquisitions' European experience, and is confident they can push on from last season's success.
