Chelsea could face Manchester United in the biggest game of their season so far without England midfielder Frank Lampard and Ivory Coast striker Didier Drogba.
Coach Jose Mourinho confirmed that neither player is expected to be back for Sunday's clash at Old Trafford as Chelsea remain in the grip of a goalscoring crisis.

Hmmm not sure about this one. Obviously Jose will say he doesnt expect them back but I assume one or both will feature. But if hopefully neither plays we should be winning that one without too much trouble....

I don't revel in rival players getting injured, but this would increase our chances of winning big time.

In an ideal world this is good news for united, personally I would rather drogba and lampard play. Reason? to prove we're the champions and not afraid of playing any team, to give no excuses for mourinho.

I agree with you there mate.. If they dont play and united wins Mourinho will have a great excuse like always.. Id'e rather we beat thier best squad, maybe then jose will be sacked :D

very good point david but Id rather they were out and we get the 3 points. At this stage I couldnt care less if Jose has excuses. 3 points is more important but I do see where you are coming from.

I not really worried what team Jose puts out on Sunday. Our team is stronger that Chelsea and with 76,000 fans behind the team Chelsea will find it difficult. Along as we get three points and more misary is put on Chelsea!!

I bet they will, I would be suprised if they neither of them played. They were meant to be back for the Rosenborg game its a bit weird how they will miss the game 5 days later ?
And i agree we have a stronger side and we are at HOME ! United !!!!

i say that both teams are having some shortage on goals, this would be the perfect time to get 2 or 3 , its still possible at old.t. i think we still need that early goal in first 15 min to jump start this teams desire and go for it all season.
drogba in= vidic = man win
lampard in= any our mid= man win !

i couldn't give a fcuk if they played or not, chelsea only play one way against us and that is to stop us playing, they know them selves if they come to OT and try and take the game to us we'll rip them to pieces. all they do when they do have possesion is hoof it up to drogba-but he's never caused us poblems rio and vida have him in there pockets he's only scored once against us and that was in the cup final. other than that goal he never gets a sniff when they play us. as for lampard he's to busy doubling up on our players like they all do to cause us a problem going forward. i can really see us giving them a good hiding this weekend revenge for there flukey win at wembley
and with the news that jose has quit and there current form they might even struggle for a champs league place, then i would **** myself
kenyon; "we will be bigger than united in 10 years time" 25 thousand for a champs league home game LMAO they wont even be bigger than fc united in ten years :0)

i dont care who they play.. the point is man utd must use this turmoil period to win big.. a 2 goal win vs chelsea will give a big boost for united players.. hopefully hargreaves will be fit for the game.. we need him to neutralize essien.. heheh

I wish they could loose essien aswell...to united.
part of me doesnt want a massive win cus the excusses will be flying.
i'd preffer a hard fought but convincing win like 3-1 or 3-0.
can see it being a draw though.

I can't see the chelsea players being mentally right for Sunday and I see Utd winning comfortably. Hopefully after that, we'll sort ourselves out and get back to business.
their biggest players apart from cech and terry are out now they are half strong and we are full strong. we can now destroy chelsea for once
