Embarrassing really, Ronaldo is elbowed by a Roma player and walks off the pitch with a bloodied face while Dida is brushed at worst, by a Celtic fan and he throws himself to the ground as if he's been sniped.

Pathetic.

Its quite stunning how lame some of these continental European players can actually get. How Dida can look at himself in the mirror or walk into the dressing room and be even spoken to by his team mates is beyond me. How did he think he was gonna get away with convincing anyone he was truly hurt by the incident by chasing the boy then crumbling 2 yard later is mesmerising. Then there was the ice pack and stretcher hahahaha!!!! This is the sort of thing that kills the credibility of "beautiful game".

I think he wanted end of the game...so the match would be re-scored on behalf of AC Milan.

I thought he is professional enough to avoid these kinds of madness...I was wrong.

Totally pathetic and the bloody size of him and all. Lmao at Dida, what a big sissy.
The fan was stupid for coming onto the pitch but Dida was the one who looked totally ridiculous for his antics. Im wondering if it was a Celtic player that did that to Dida would Dida have be fined for it. He should be imo.

I Think its stupid how players think that if they go down and say a fan hit them or a fellow player hit they will be believed even though there are countless number of cctv cameras around the grounds these days, I think he should be fined and no prizes for guessing what the AC Milan players will be watching at this years Xmas party :D

He sure did pay the price. Banned for ever for both home and away matches. Poor sod though he was pretty stupid.
Dida is no stranger to going down in a heap. Remember in 2005 when he was hit by a flare thrown by Inter Milan fans during a Champions League quarter-final at the San Siro? The match had to be abandoned. You'd swear he had been shot at.

Fan deserves the ban but for life.... At least give him a 20 year ban so he learns... Seems very strict.

Dida is a muppet! Reminds me of the Rivaldo incident.

i thought drogba had signed for milan when i first saw it last night,

although the fan was wrong to run on the pitch (in modern football) a life time ban is way over the top, he didn't atempt to punch him or anything it was more a gesture to say haha, his team had just beaten the european champs in the last minute at home the guy was overjoyed,

i wonder if he would of got banned had he been a season ticket holder?

as for dida he's just like the rest of the milan club, a cheating *******, the only reason he went down was to get the result over turned as he did against milan a few years previous (although that was a bit more serious)

fifa should also ban him or fine him at least for cheating, i mean stretcher, ice pack, come on, wtf is that about?

From BBC NEWS

A fan ran onto the pitch after Scott McDonald scored the winner
A man who ran onto Celtic Park during Wednesday's Champions League match has admitted breach of the peace.
Robert McHendry, 27, from Cambuslang, was arrested on Thursday after handing himself in to police.

He rushed from the stand following a last-minute winner by Celtic and appeared to make light contact with AC Milan goalkeeper Nelson Dida.

At Glasgow Sheriff Court, sentence on Hendry, who has been banned from Celtic games for life, was deferred.

He will be sentenced on 2 November.

Poor sod couldn't have gotten a harsher punishment though it was a bit silly to do that in the first place. As for Dida well that was pathetic!! Though he does deserve an award for best theatrics even if not goalkeeping!!

And maybe this should happen more often....!!!

Too many times we see a 'little tap' on the leg and the player rolls and rolls along the floor.

Then.......

Children will see this and grow up to copy this when they play - soon before you know whats happening..........it will just be accepted and everyone will do it......and we dont want this.

Fine Dida...!!!!!

Players can be yellow carded during a match if they call a strecher on and then walk off without it.

I don't see why a similar punishment shouldn't be handed to Dida. Some sort of suspension..

What sort of punishment do you think he should receive?

Anderson's God

I never understand why the club get the blame for some man who thought it would be amusing to run on to the field like that. He got his punishment, whats it got to do with Celtic Football club themselves!

because uefa are a joke, i dont want to see my club getting punished but it will happen and if it goes to something extreme like a game behind close doors, then that will be an utter disgrace:mad:

Dida got a 2 match ban for his disgraceful antics. Havent had a chance to think if its too little a punishment or not but Im very glad Uefa have actually done something about it!

£25,000 fine for Celtic.

Milan set to appeal the ban.pffft

Dida deserves the two match ban, Well done UEFA for cracking down on this play acting, The game doesnt need it. Hope this acts as an example to players across the continent!!

I would think that Celtic will be very pleased with the £25'000 fine considering what may have happened.....

I personally thought they were gona be made to play there matches behind close doors and that i think would have affected Celtic as the Parkhead crowd act as the 12 man!

Happy with the verdict!

The only way to stop this is to stop fans getting onto the pitch. Players go down easily during matches as well. (any excuse and they're down)
Bump into the TV at home and they're down in the box. LOL

He got 2 match ban - which has been reduced to one match - after appeal.
Got this cos he was feigning injury.

Funny thought now

Does that mean that if a fan runs on the field and hits a player in the face with a baseball bat - but player feigns injury - by going down as if he's been SHOT, does that count as feigning injury LOL.

This was meant as a bit of fun.
