Ok I don't if any of you can be honesty in your answer and set aside the City rivalry for a moment. But now with City taken over do you honestly believe they can become a force in the Premiership? Do you honestly believe that they can be serious contenders for the Prem in a season or two!?
For the first season I think they will go down hill due to a lack of experience in the top 6 but if they hold on to Micah Richards and build up their team I can't see why not. Like I said before it may be experience that could be their downfall. Also the fact that they are not the most successful side around so they will find it hard to attract big names!
So what do you think!?

I think their a good team but i cant imagine them ever beating atleast 3 of the big 4 over 38 games........so i cant see them getting higher up than 4th (if that)

Football is always changing and developing. Thats whats so exciting about it.
Do they have the consistancy? Probably not at the moment. Maybe in 2 or 3 years they could be pushing top four. They'll need to buy some real world class players though.

Nice recipe for winning but how much they win nobody knows.

City are unfortunately on the up. Sven has come in and done extremely well in a short time. The extra money helps and he has made some excellent signings (Petrov, Elano, Geovanni etc). Putting Richards in beside Dunne was a great move and they are flanked by Corluka and Garrido who seem solid enough. They are also giving youth a chance with Johnson, Schmeichal, Onouha and Ireland. who have all done well.
Sven has a little black book full of connections so he will be able to get in decent players from all around the globe and the extra funds help big time. They may not be pretty to watch but they will be up challenging for Europe for years to come imo
