How is it going fellas?

First off, yeah i am a Liverpool fan. And i am fully sick of the usual crap and the level arguments stoop to between fans from, for example, Liverpool and Man Utd.

I dont think one set of fans are better then the other in this regard, i think you find childish and immature fans in both the Liverpool and Man Utd camp.

However, i also think there are fans you can have genuine constructive debates with and actually get somewhere. I am also a member of thisisanfield.com, and a regular poster (under a different name). However, by only posting there, i will in general get a one-sided view on things, just like you will by being a Man utd supporter on a Man Utd supporter forum.

Therefore i intend to start posting here as well, and hopefully get different views (as long as they're based on something other then "we are best, you are crap"... again, this is not a dig at Man Utd fans, as you have those fans all over).

Welcome to the forum. Being Irish I am unfortunate enough to be friends with many Liverpool fans but I still enjoy a good banter and sensible football discussion with them or anyone. I also enjoy taking money off all my Pool mates in bets every year. Its like a free wage packet every May :-)
I look forward to hearing your views.

The rivalry between Liverpool and United will forever live on hopefully. It might be the one thing that Keane doesn't feel has been lost in the Prem. It makes football, football. One reason for my love of football!

Cheers guys AND GIRLS (sorry for not including that in my first post carlyluvsunited).

Great to know you accept someone from the rival on the board. And believe me, im not here to talk crap. But in some cases, when i post on thisisanfield.com i find myself reading a one-sided view of things, and therefore it can be great to hear what the "enemy" has to say about it, as long as it in the right manner.

Anyways, i have to admit im impressed by the amount of points United have scraped together despite a "horrible" start to the season. Definitely a quality you need to win the whole thing

Welcome to the forum mate.

Good to see someone like you around, most Liverpool fans I know(seriously) are all too one-sided, bias and wouldn't spend 2 seconds saying anything else about Manchester United other than the usual digs!

Come on mate... its the same whichever camp you're in. I have Man Utd mates that wont stay logic in discussions. Irrasional and wont give Liverpool any credit, are one-sided, bias and dont do anything else then talk crap about LFC.

Being a fan in the first place means you're biased, and thats fine. Im sure im biased as well. The issue is whethet you're logical when you argue with other fans, and open for admiting when rivals do well.

Too many fans dont have that quality

Great to hear. That's a key work, friendly banter.

A great example that the "hate" between the fans should be limited, is the horrible injustice that happen to young (13) Everton fan Rhyl. The kid got shot in the head (as im sure you're all aware off) by some other kid.

I thought Liverpools gesture was amazing (inviting the parents to Anfield before a home game, and played the Everton anthem at Anfield). Although amazing, it is something you should really expect in such a scenario

I remember when I first got into Euro footy Liverpool and United were my "2 favorite teams". I'd cheer for both whenever they were playing. When I finally got out of the "casual viewer" into actual fan stage when I made the decision...

I agree though. Friendly banter is one thing, chaotic obsession is entirely different
