Well I for one am sick of these international breaks. I hate waiting 2 weeks to watch United play. Maybe Im just bitter because my country Ireland have NO chance of qualifying. Pfffft ffs
Anyway what will happen to our players, Will they come back injured,Will the injured ones get back to training and fitness. Have you heard any news???
Is the break coming at a bad time just as we started to play well?

-Tevez is going to Venzuela for a friendly ffs. He will be knackered for the Villa game.
-OShea has recovered enough and has been included in the Irish squad.
-Fletcher resumes full training on Monday.
-Saha is OUT of the French squad, surprise surprise.
-Neville is gearing up for a return against Pool reserves.
-Giggs and Scholes will have a nice break.

Your thoughts on the International break or any news just post it up.

Fergie said last week he has been happy for these breaks.

With all injuries we have had it give them plenty time to rest and recover - with 10 day breaks between games.

Tevez to Venezuela though is not good !!

And Sahahahahaha is injured AGAIN so he must play !!

I am happy that Vidic has been excluded from the Serbia games! Hope fully he will be raring to go for the Villa game.

I think players flying around the world for one 90min friendly is juts stupid. I have never been a big fan of the International break because 14 days to see United play is ****!

Its good players like Giggs and Scholes get a two weeks off!

I think the thing i hate most about the international break is i always worry what players are gona come back with an injury!

They **** me off too mate..

We've done ok on internationals in recent years. having our lads generally come back fit. Could be far worse though.

I can't see a way around it, just have to get on with it.

Its a consequence of being a great football club!

Alot of england fans like me have become disheartend with the england side, after the world cup...poor!
so i'd much rather watch united.plus it would have been good to keep the momentum going after that great win over wigan. but there are posatives also, like the rest for players etc. but theres nothing that can be done about it, so roll on the 20th.

Louis Saha has pulled out of the France squad for the Euro 2008 qualifiers against the Faroe Islands and Lithuania because of a knee injury.

A statement on the French Football Federation website announced the Manchester United striker had left the team training camp in Clairefontaine.

Coach Raymond Domenech will not call for a replacement, meaning more frustration for Juventus star David Trezeguet, who questioned his initial omission from the party.

France visit the Faroes on Saturday before hosting Lithuania in Nantes on October 17.

yea i know for a fact, why? you ask, coz im realistic

maybe if sanchez had stayed you might of had a chance,

it's a bit sad really i was really hoping you would qualify and i was rooting you on, like i will be the scots and have always done with the republic

I support 2 football teams - Manchester United and England. I want England to be successful but certainly not at the expense of United.

Before and during each International break much is made of injuries being picked up on International duty but let's face it - it's 2 games. What are the chances?!

Besides, looking at it another way - what if Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal players get injured playing for their countries whereas United's injury list is getting smaller as players are given a chance to recover from injuries during the International break. Also, don't forget that a couple of our key players (Giggs & Scholes) have retired from International football so this is a good chance for them to rest before our next game.

We've already had John Terry injure his knee in training...

I am sorry being realistic isn't a fact at all. When i looked at the group at the start of campaign I thought that 4th would be realistic and we are 3rd at the moment. Was it realistic beating Spain and Sweden at home? or drawing away to Denmark? no it wasn't yet again was it realistic to lose at home to Iceland No it wasn't as long as we have a chance of getting to the finals nothing is Fact.

great result for the scots today, (although i fancied them to win) l

confidence will be sky high going into the game against goergia, i hope you don't slip up over there after doing such a good, hard job

if you do win midweek i think you will qualify, but what a masive game the italy one will be, assuming france and italy pick up maximum points up to that game. the atmosphere at hampden will be unreal

although you picked up a couple os suspensions, you will have the fletch back, he's joining up with the squad

Someone could twist their ankle going to the bathroom before bed too and have to miss the game the next day.

No international breaks and no bathroom breaks due to injury risks. :D

No surprises but it'll be interesting to see how Lescott does. He played at left-back last season for Everton but since Baines came in he's been playing centre-back.

So you could argue our 4 defenders are all centre-backs!

**** result for scotland.......but we WILL still go through

Were going into the Italy game as underdogs, just like we were for both of tthe France games and we all know what happened there ;)

Scotland are at their best being the underdogs, the one game where we are heavy favourites we drop points

roll on the 17th of November!

i did warn you the other day that this was a game that scotland could well slip up in, i think you will find it very hard to qualify now, although you are a force at hampdon the italians are masters of getting a result and they only need a draw

although englands chance of qualifying is out of our hands im not to worried for some reason, i still think we'll qualify, i can see isreal getting a result against the russians. if we don't qualify (which was unthinkable when the groups were drawn) mclaren will be sacked instantly and the FA will only have themselves to blame as they were the only english men who wanted him as manager

Romania qualified !!!

Ahem, sorry.

IMO..........

Scotland have blown it now.

If Italy decide they want to take a draw from this Scotland game - then they will.

They are expert for doing this kind of thing !!!

So bye bye Scotland !!!

England though - I cant explain this but I have a funny feeling they are going to qualify !!!

Israel 1-1 with Russia and Russia whoop Andorra.

Then.........

England beat Croatia 2-0..........

.............and off to Austria for England.

Any non-England fans don't worry - Romania will whoop them anyway http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i202/Otiwota/Emoticons/eviltongue.gif

What a rubbish day for the home nations. Could it get any worse??
So England seem to have messed it up somehow. I still give them a shout as Israel have lost only 3 from their last 30 home games in qualifiers (approx.)
but the fact that its out of Englands hands should not be acceptable for England fans.
Scotland lost as well and it was a terrible result for them. They still have a chance but playing the World Champions will be a tough prospect.
Wales just scraped a win against the mighty San Marino (at least someone won) but Toshack lambasting his players cant really be good for the future of Welsh football.
Northern Ireland got agood result in Sweden but its too little too late. very good campaign all the same. If Sanchez had stuck around it could have happened.
And to Ireland AAAAAARRRGGGGHHHH-Complete joke-We were lucky to get a 1-1 at home against Cyprus. Pathetic. Staunton is a muppet.
Mmmmmm depressing all around. Lovely!
