I tend to agree with those who found Fletcher woefully disappointing
last season, except for a certain misdirected header against Chelsea.
While he looks to have potential, he always seemed to be about two steps
too late in his decision-making last season.
Anyone else impressed by his masterful performance against Celtic last
week? Sure, it's only pre-season, and Celtic were a shambles, but I
thought that was Fletcher's best performance in a United shirt so far,
and his quick decisions and distribution were, hopefully, signs of
quality to come.
Then again, Liam Miller also looked good for a few minutes, so maybe
they were all high on something. I thought he was on the way out?
