Dont think they have qualified yet but yes it was a great goal for him. It was beautifully set up by Nani as well.

It was good to see Ronney and Ronaldo scoring, Rooney has scored in his last three games for club and country and Ronaldo is scoring for fun at the minute, May it long continue and start this weekend against Villa.

Great to see them both in form. Let's just hope Rooney isn't too downhearted.
Luckily McClaren is taking the blame for the defeat in the press and most of them are leaving Rooney alone.
Although I was very annoyed by the BBC calling Rooney 'a villain' because of the penalty incident.

great finish, don't know how many he has scored for his country but he seems to always score for them.
i didn't know he was captain either is this a full time thing or had the captain gone off?

Ronaldo is Portugal's permanent captain now.
According to wiki (so take it with a pinch of salt) he's now scored 20 goals for Portugal.
