Everton v Liverpool. I cannot believe the luck enjoyed by LFC today?

Everton had two very blatant penalties turned down by the referee who feel for Gerrard's "perfect" dive to let LFC equalise in the first place.

He was going to yellow card the player until Gerrard said something to the referee, who then produced a red.

Several other Liverpool tackles went unpunished where red would very easily have been wielded.

IF Liverpool were to win their first ever premiership title this season by 2 points, they can look back at this performance by this referee and give him the freedom of North Wales.

Why North Wales? Because thats where most of those in Anfailed come from.

Both on Lescott too !!!

I see the first time he was wrestled to the ground and I think.....

"Hmmmmm.....ok maybe ref missed this one"

and put it down to bad luck.

But second time this happens I am shocked ref missed this. He was almost body slammed in this 'attack' but no penalty.

Gerrard is one of these modern day 'moaners'. Always they annoy the ref and affect decisions too much !!!

just seen this game on match of the day (missed it earlier, at football with my son)
i had total respect for clattenberg before this game i thought he was the best up and coming ref in the league, how wrong was i? not only did gerard dive, he also got the player sent off as the ref had a yellow card out, the 2 everton pens that were turned down were unbelievable, how the fcuk could he miss them? and to top it alll- kuyt scores the winning pen when he shouldn't even be on the pitch after his bruce lee inpresion.

fcuking unreal!

What really annoyed me was Gerrards reaction to being subbed. What an ass. By looking like that he showed deep disrespect to his team mates.

you play for a big club and you don't play well it's only right you should come off, that's why big clubs have big squads, so every player is pushed for his place

Gerrard thinks he is bigger than any club though - even seems to think he is bigger than his own country too.

This man is a pain in the butt............

Agreed RD. I saw the game and was disgusted by it all. Essentially the ref cost US 2 points as well. I just hope it wont make a difference at the end of the season. I feel sorry for Everton in this. They were clearly robbed.

Never liked Gerrard. Always been one of those smarmy ****s who acts like a reasonable guy but underneath is a total ******.

There is a brilliant video of him on the Youtube - starts with Gerrards interview where he says diving is no good - cheating - and he blames CR7 for this,.

The rest of the video then shows him diving all over the place !!!

Bloody 2-face git he is Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr......

I try to find the video ok x

What really makes me mad is the fact these referee get paid about £500 for one game - to referee.

If they big mess of it like this man did - why should he be paid ?

Would any of you get paid your wages if you go to work and make a mess of everything ?

No I don't think so............

So this clutterbug or whatever his name is should now be fined for being useless git !!!

Seems as though Mark Clattenburg is NOT allowed to ref a game in the Premiership next weekend.
Says it all really.........................
