Fergie Slips Up

BARCLAYS PREMIER LEAGUE Arsenal 2 Manchester United 2.. and game of the
season finishes with a bang !

Sir Alex Ferguson last night warned that Manchester United's late slip has let
Chelsea and Liverpool back into the title race.

The United boss was furious that his team surrendered their lead to William
Gallas's injury-time leveller - following his earlier own goal plus strikes from Cesc
Fabregas and Ronaldo (below) - and says the draw was good news for their
Premier League rivals.

Ferguson said: "This doesn't tell you anything at the end of the day. Both sides
are going to be challenging for the title, the draw suits Liverpool and Chelsea.
And there are going to be lots of twists and turns yet.

"We have people fit again. It was the strongest bench I have had this season
and that is encouraging for us. I can now alternate our side at times.

"The lads have done a fantastic job to get us into this position and we can
change things now when we need to."

But Ferguson was angry at his players for their late slip and also blasted referee
Howard Webb for some of his decisions - and also claimed a lack of security at
Arsenal left his bench in "danger" and intimidated the officials.

Ferguson said: "I think Howard Webb has a great chance to be the top referee
but today was a big game for him and, at times, he favoured Arsenal.

"Their second goal came from him not giving a free-kick for a foul on Louis Saha
on the far side. It should have been a foul for us. "It is very difficult for the
referee.

On our bench, we were getting terrible abuse from people two or three feet away
from us.

"There is a lack of security here.

It is absolutely disgraceful the abuse you and your staff take.

"All sorts of things are being shouted and screamed at you and there is an
absolute danger here."

However, Arsenal insist they are happy with security and one fan sitting near the
United dug-out was ejected.

An Arsenal spokesperson said: "Stadium security is of the highest importance and
Arsenal feel there is ample stewarding around the dug-out area.

"However, the club does recognise that some exchanges which take place can be
of an aggressive nature, and there was an incident this afternoon where one
supporter was ejected.

"As a club we do expect a certain level of behaviour.

"There is also CCTV which monitors the area, which our stadium management
crew do review after games, and if necessary the club will take further action."
