...then read.
WAYNE ROONEY could miss Manchester United's opening three games of the season after being sent off in disgrace again last night.
The striker, now dismissed four times in his brief career, showed he has still not learned to control his suspect temper, despite his repeated claims that he has matured.
Rooney showed the best and worst sides of his character last night, scoring with an impudent finish in the 20th minute to put United 2-0 up following Scholes's opener in the pre-season Amsterdam Tournament, only to tarnish that with his needless dismissal.
------------
WAYNE ROONEY'S latest act of mindless stupidity on a football pitch provided conclusive proof that the volatile Manchester United and England striker has learned nothing from his past transgressions.
Last night the Boy Wonder showed his immature side once again, this time with a flailing arm.
That dismissal at the World Cup was supposed to mark a turning point in Rooney's development. The point at which the combustible 20-year-old realised he had to grow up and forget about indulging in petty on-field retributions.
But the most worrying aspect of the fourth red card of Rooney's brief but controversial career is that Sir Alex Ferguson, supposedly an arch disciplinarian and the best man-manager in football, has been unable to tame him.
Lol are they for REAL????
