Hargreaves aware of fresh Man Utd interest

Bayern Munich midfielder Owen Hargreaves is aware of interest from Manchester United.

The Times says Hargreaves, the England midfield player, has been alerted to the possibility of joining United after discussions within Old Trafford this week.

He is keen on the prospect, having made no secret of his interest in moving to the Barclays Premiership if a top club were interested, but his hopes of being granted such a move remain unclear, with Bayern reluctant to lose him so soon after the departure of Michael Ballack to Chelsea.

I think SAF is going to use Carrick further forward. He can easily develop into a box to box player and I think he will take Lampards place in the England team within a year.

Hargeraves would be a great buy IMO.

Hagreaves does not do the same job as Carrick. Hargreaves is a box to box midfielder that breaks up play and gives the ball to the creative sort.

And who's to say we don't need a replacement for Paul Scholes - OH fits the bill but only just. He's no Scholesy but as an addition to the squad, he will provide cover and depth, IMHO.
