agreed...but English hooligans are a disgrace and at the world cup in Germany they were a disgrace, and the main instigators of hooliganism and violence....

Of course there are worse fans from other countries but one of the reasons for England to qualify was because of their magnificent fans.....

croatia have been in there best form for years and still wont finish above a much below par england.---lol...where have you got your stats from! We have been in one of our best forms just because we demolished you in Zagreb ?! Kid, learn your stuff before saying something like that ! Obviously there are still hooligans in England (as anyone who watches Eastenders will tell you :D ) but we have put a lot of effort into controlling the problem because of the horrendous scenes broadcast around the World mainly in the 80's.

In England there is rarely trouble at football matches these days but there are still problems when we travel abroad.

There are 2 reasons for this.

1) Some English people tend to get incredibly drunk when abroad, which inevitably leads to trouble. They are not hooligans as such - they are just ****ed up idiots.

2) When there is a hooligan problem other countries do not have the experience or the measures in place to deal with it. They either do not react quickly enough to a small fight that escalates or they wade in with batons instead of trying to calm the situation.

Unfortunately, it will be some time before we lose this wrongful tag as a nation full of hooligans.

SPOT ON...The same thing happens to us... our fans got provoked in italy with communistic totalitaristic chants and our fans responded with forming a svastica with their bodies. horrible things happend under both communism and fascism, and they responded on provocation. And we were told to be fascits because of a group of stupid drunk fans !

we was bad tonight, mclaren got all the big decisions wrong, he should never of played carson, he got the 4-5-1 wrong, he switches to 4-4-2 we play a bit better, we get back to 2-2 and he goes back to 4-5-1 and they score the winner

it's probally a good thing we've been knocked out, we now can get rid of mclaren and start to rebiuld for the 2010 world cup, winning tonight would of keeped him in the job and masked what as been some of the worst england performances in this qualifying campaign for years!

When you were attacking you were like us against Australia at the WC - no imagination, no strenght at all... I think Niko Kranjcar played the best match ever for the national team...
