CRISTIANO Ronaldo has made the three-man shortlist for FIFA's world player of the year award.
The Manchester United winger is up against AC Milan's Brazilian Kaka, who is the favourite, and Barcelona's Lionel Messi.
The award will be made at FIFA's world player gala in Zurich on December 17.
Each national team manager and player is given a vote for their player of the year.
My Prediction, Which i have said in here a few times is:
1: Kaka
2: Ronaldo
3: Messi
Hope Ronaldo gets it!!! **Fingers Crossed**

Just to be in the top 3 players in the world is incredible......
Great to have a Manchester United player in there......
Ronaldo is not just promoting the premier league and English football, but football all around the world......
I salute you....Kaka.....Ronaldo....Messi......:)

Betting:
Kaka 1/10

Messi 5/1
So that is the 1,2,3 I suppose.....
Seems to be what everyone thinks..........:o

Kaka only scored 8 goals in 31 games in Serie A last season!
Ronaldo scored 17 goals in 34 games and also bagged 14 assists!
Europe hates England though so kaka will win it.

Europe hates England though so kaka will win it.yes i think if your team is winning big trophies this makes decision different for the judges. europe does not hate the england but they dont like to have the england fan come to our country. they make too many troubles for everyone and this is not polite good manners. but i am in bucuresti when arsenal comes to play steaua in september and these boys are very good guys. they make no troubles and have fun so yes these boys are welcome again of course.

I think Italian fans are the worst really. It's the Liverpool fans that give the English a bad name :p

Kaka's performances in the Champions League will win him the award.
The Ballon d'Or (formally known as European Footballer of the Year) was announced over the weekend.
Kaka won with Ronaldo 2nd and Messi 3rd.
I think it'll be the same for the FIFA World Player of the Year.
