What famous people have you met or seen nearby et...etc....

We already have a United players thread on this so no United players.........


Most years on holidays my family and I stay in camp sites in the south of france.......near St Tropez and Nice......

Anyway two years ago when I was in St Tropez I saw Pamela Anderson on a yacht..................................just a few metres out of reach.....:o

Also, my parents went into St Tropez a few years ago while me and my brother stayed at the campsite for an almighty football match with English, Dutch, Germans, Irish......etc..etc....lol

My parents brushed shoulders with Bono........and a few friends.....

they didn't stop to talk but pretty cool eh.......:)

I'm betting on Jazz to have a few experiences..............lol

anyway, interested to see what you guys come up with..............

i seen sally webster (from corrie) the other day in the disney shop in the trafford centre....i've also met leanne from corrie.....i used to go to school with tracy barlow (dawn acton) she was in my form......jack duckworth and alec gilroy live near me aswell

i've met goeff capes (butlins years ago)

big daddy (the wrestler)

i've met quite a few footballers aswell

-Met my hero Roy Keane when I was stewarding his comeback game at Landsdowne road...He gave me the thumbs up and a smile as I stood there looking like a plank unable to say much. D'oh. Maybe next time. Met most of the Irish team as well that time.
-Met Ray Houghton and Trevor Steven in town. Had the banter and a great chat about football. We even gave them a lift back to their hotel. Sound lads....
-Had a pint in a club with Razor Ruddock, only because he pulled my friend, the dirtbag. I can say this now as he has split from his wife. ouch
-Met Jordan in a bar in Ayia Napa, had a chat and a pic taken with her. She may be a tit but in real life shes damn hot I have to say.
-Got turfed out of our vip seats in a club when Bono and Larry Mullen from U2showed up. They were kind enough to apologise and have a chat but we didnt mind, it was a good laugh. Bono is a midge when you meet him.
-Know a few Irish actors and musicians which most of you wouldnt know so I wont bore you with the details though my cousin is Eva Birthistle who was nominated for a Scottish Bafta a few years back and appeared on the Late Late show.
-Met a load of rugby players over the years. Was in school with Denis Hickie and Shane Jennings, am mates with Gavin Hickie (Leicester), my cousin is Anthony Horgan (Munster & Ireland), met Shane Horgan in a club (winning try scorer in Twickers 2 years ago to win the Triple Crown), and met Brian O Driscoll (captain) & Paul O Connell as well (Irish vice-captain). Filipe Contepomi lives down the road.
-Picked Dylan Moran(comedian & Black books) up off the ground in a club. He was unable to walk but we had a laugh anyway. Funny bastad indeed.
-Met Ardal O Hanlon (Dougal from father Ted) he lives up the road and is surprisingly shy. Also said hello to the late great Dermot Morgan (Father Ted)
-Talked to Keith Duffy on a flight from London (sound bloke) and threw apples at Ronan Keating in town when he slagged us off(****)
-Met Martin'the General'Cahill (notorious crime boss)numerous times around the area as he lived near me and was there when he was shot down by the IRA about 10 years ago :-0 scary stuff indeed.

I have met cantona,bosnich, bruce,big pete and a fair few other united players. I used to live next doot to steve nicol, i have met ian rush, john aldridge, david james, micheal owen, robbie fowler, steve mcmanaman, jan molby, phil babb, jamie and louise redknapp and ince (used to drink in my local), des walker, brian clough, nigel clough and numerous other players over the years. I have alsp played football with john barnes.
However the big name i have to add to the list is phillip schofield :rolleyes:

met ian browne after his concert in dub a few weeks ago. the parents have an apartment in marbella next door to bruce willis, antonio banderas and none other than j o'shea so iv met them all a couple of times, played footy with john and all sound bean!!!

oh and met a few of the celtic players hartson, lennon, sutton, petrov, varga, ,martin o'neill was there too sound man, , they were drinkin in my local in naas (for those of u from irl, just wanted to make it clear i dont live in straffan!!) after playin golf in the k club! me and my mate actually stole sutton, hartson and lennons drinks, still have the pint glasses, quite proud of that 1 i am!!!

So let me start - Rio Ferdinand, Mark Viduka, Tom Cruise, Nick Nolte, Pope John Paul the 2nd, Tara Reid, Sophia Lauren, Bill Chaney unfortunately, Woody Harleson and Owen wilson even played street soccer in my old neighbourhood, Goran Visnjic, Princess Rihana I think,Robin Williams, Luc Besson, etc,etc
