We always get the Premierleague teams. It'd be nice, if we got a nice easy game against the lower opposition.

Should be a great game, provided it is Spurs we play. We'll win though.

Why are the Bindippers, Le'Arse-Anal & Renties always so lucky, getting drawn against lousy oppsositions from the lower tiers? And once again, United get drawn against a Premiership side like Reading or Tottenham Hotspur!
It's fixed, FFS!

I'd rather play the "big guns" now and knock them out than see them all meet in the semi's. Anyway, we could get Havant at OT next round ;) Dream on!

If West Ham beat Man City then Sheffield United v West Ham should be quite tasty after what happened last season.

I can't believe we've drawn Prem opposition again. At least we're at home though.

Liverpool may as well have a bye to the 5th round, Chelsea should beat Wigan and Newcastle's hopes of winning a trophy to save their season are over.

Chances of a big 4 semi-final line up anyone?

United have played Spurs 163 times.
United have won 75 Spurs have won 46 Drawn 42
There have been 257 goals for United, 219 for Spurs

In all cup games United have played 21 games against Spurs
United have lost 11 of these. 5 wins and 5 draws.
United have scored 11 goals and conceded 26.

The last time Spurs beat us was in 2001 on 19th May (3-1).

United have played Reading 15 times, winning 7 drawing 7 and losing 1
Goals For 28 Against 15. Uniteds biggest win v Reading was 4-1 in 1955 in an FA Cup 3rd Rd Replay.

As you can clearly see, in the FA Cup, even at home, historically we are the underdog!!

hope Reading wins at home at the replay....so we would have an easier match.....Tottenham will be harder to beat....after Juande Ramos came in charge of them

but if we get tottenham then it will just improve our chances to win.....because chelsea played qpr and nw wigan......liverpool has luton and havant....arsenal is the team who is getting real opposition!!!!!!!!(and us obviously!!!!!)

Fixed as per usual.....
When's the last time we didnt get a Premiership team?
Its a home tie again so the Glaziers will be licking their fingers.
I just feel sorry for the fans that HAVE to fork out for it.
At least it should be an attacking and exciting game as Reading and Spurs couldnt give a hoot about defending.
prediction-home win.

Reading will not be an "easier" match as one or two think. They have been as stubborn as hell against us. We have only won 50% of our games against them.

A very good draw for us.

If you want to win the FA Cup you've got to beat the best and playing against a quality team will keep the players tuned in and concentrated.

Spot on. Profound wisdom and understanding. Absolutely brilliant. ;) :D

To elaborate on my compliments lest K4T finds it hard to accept himself, I believe if we honestly think we are the best in the land, we must be prepared to beat any team that comes our way. Mentally hoping and praying we can avoid a certain team or teams is a loser's mentality; half the battle lost already.

I'm afraid I'm a loser. :p

I always hope someone else will do the hard work for us and knock out our main rivals to give us easy passage to the final! :D

 ................................................:)

Actually, I don't mind too! ;)

[But must express confidence and faith in our beloved team albeit sometimes with much apprehension. Remember we were even capable of losing to Wolves the last time they were up in the Premiership? I hid from all the Other Three fans for a while... Sigh, why must we be tortured once in a while?]

The nice thing about taking out premiership teams on the way to wembley is the "well at least we had top level opposition all the way through, we didn't get there by walloping Accrington Stanley!!" sort of thing.

nah i agree with RD i hate it when fans of other clubs start saying stuff like we only got to the final because we played "rubbish" teams

Not really our fault anyway is it? We can only beat who were drawn against

reddwarf

It doesn't really matter who we beat on the way though does it?

I remember when we beat Millwall in the 2004 FA Cup Final and I had a lot of 'It was only Millwall' even though we beat Arsenal in the semi-final!

Opposition fans will always find something to have a go at us at for.
