Man United's Ronaldo Underlines Importance Of Fit Rooney
Portugal winger Cristiano Ronaldo has underlined the importance of striker
Wayne Rooney to Manchester United's chances of having a successful season.
Though the England star has suffered some injuries this season, he has looked
sharp and scored 10 goals so far this term. He made his latest comeback from a
spell out, with a bang in the FA Cup third round win against Aston Villa last
weekend.
"Everyone knows Wayne is a good player," said Ronaldo.
"He does not have to do anything to prove that. He came on against Villa and did
very well.
"He looked sharp and good - that can only benefit us. We have a strong season
ahead of us, so it is important Wayne is ready along with all the other players as
