Gaby Heinze has revealed Wayne Rooney has admitted to Manchester United teammates he's struggling for form.
Heinze, 28, said: "Rooney is not playing well. He knows it and accepts it.
"We have to hope he recovers soon because we need him in the race to win the league title.
"This season is going to be very close. It won't just be Chelsea, even though they are now two points ahead of us, because that can change in a day.
"The key to staying near the top is not to lose points at Old Trafford.
"It is vital we go for the victory from the very first moment against Newcastle."
