Ferguson unhappy with players despite win at ReadingManchester United
manager Sir Alex Ferguson was less than happy with his side's performance in
the 2-0 win at Reading today.

Goals from Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo, the Portuguese winger's 23rd
of the season, made sure United remained top of the Premier League on goal
difference from Arsenal, who won 3-0 away at Fulham.

But although they were at their clinical best in the 6-0 win over Newcastle last
week, Ferguson felt his players' decision-making in the Reading half was poor
today.

"Considering the number of opportunities we had in the last third of the field,
maybe our decision-making wasn't the best," said Ferguson.

"You start to worry as the game goes on whether you're going to get a goal. It
was a really open match and if there had been a goal earlier there may have
been a lot more scored.

"We got the goal at just the right time and got enough just to get through. In the
end it was down to our own attacking play which wasn't at its best today."

Ferguson commended Reading manager Steve Coppell for the positive approach
of his side. Coppell said before the match that his side would go all out for the
win and he kept to his word and played three strikers.

The United manager admitted that Reading caused his side a lot of problems and
were a little unlucky to concede to late goals.

He said: "When I saw the line-up I knew they were going to go for it. Reading
were unlucky near the end, it was a close one for us." www.viewlondo.co.uk
