Newcastle aim to trump Man Utd for Berbatov
Dimitar Berbatov could sign for Newcastle
rather than Manchester United, according
to The Sunday Mirror.
The paper reckons that Kevin Keegan has
an ace up his sleeve' in his plan to lure
Berbatov to St James' - The £26million-
rated Berbatov is a lifelong Toon fan.
The widespread belief is that Berbatov
will join Manchester United in the summer,'
says the Mirror.
But, just as he persuaded Alan Shearer
to snub Old Trafford and join the Geordies
in 1996, Keegan wants to snatch Berbatov
out of Fergie's clutches.
