Hi all,

My names Marie Williams...

I’m currently a student in my final year attempting to complete my dissertation surrounding sports fandom and in particular the way that you as Manchester United fans use this forum / website as a way of informing, talking about, debating etc your fandom, being the club, the sport football and so fourth.

I hope you don’t mind me using you guys as a platform for my research and along the way may be asking a few questions to gain some answers.

I will be conducting my research starting tomorrow for approximately six months, if needs be I can keep all names anonymous.

I hope to gain some good responses and am looking forward to learning more about the culture and fanatics that surround Manchester United FC.:)

I registered in August when I was looking at what forum I should research so had to register but am starting my proper research now :)

I wasn’t the girl researcher you had...

I registered in August when I was looking at what forum I should research so had to register but am starting my proper research now :)

I wasn’t the girl researcher you had...

Think you'll find this forum is much like a family, mummy Carly, daddy Sal ( thanks to others ), grandad Charles, mad uncle Haggler ( every family has one), Knock of nigel Toybos, quite a few hormonal teenagers led by K4t and STL, the drunken older family members who come home when the pubs are shut, relations who call in from all over the world, a few Americans that come here and try to buy us out, a couple of kings, a few queens i suspect, and our own prince Zane. All resided over by our landlord RM and his henchman RD.

I can see the highlighted part resulting in some VERY interesting answers. :eek:
