Ferguson escapes FA punishment
The Football Association will not take
any action against Sir Alex Ferguson
over claims he made an offensive
gesture.
Some Reading fans complained about
Ferguson's reaction to Manchester
United's second goal in a 2-0 win at
Reading on Saturday.
Ferguson insisted he was celebrating
Cristiano Ronaldo's injury-time goal.
The FA studied video evidence and
decided not to take any action.
They also consulted the fourth official
at the game. www.channel4.com
