Just how long can Ryn go on for ? He must be the most consistant premiership player ever

I don't think anyone can really answer that, every time he has his doubters he continues to be a massive influence for us. He's looked after himself so well, you never see him involved in any scandals or over news papers. He's the kind of player people should be looking up to; he's so underrated it's unbelievable. I hope we get another couple of years out of him to be honest, even if it's only substitute appearances.

I dont see why he wouldnt go on to make over 800 apps. for us.
I think he is only 17/18 or so games off Sir Bobby's record and I cant wait for him to break it. It would be also nice to get his 10th league title this season.
Giggs has always been the true professional and is an example to every young player. The goal against Arse in '99 has to be the best goal he scored of his 143.
He is also just 2 goals off being in he top 10 United scorers of all time. Not bad for a winger :-)

I think he's got another couple of seasons after this one left in him before he hangs up his boots.

I cant wait for him to break the record should just bout do it this season, Think he's got at least 2 more years at OT yet

Do you think he will get a coaching role when he retires?

I hate to be so negative but I dont think he's got long left =[
1 more season in contention for first team places.
After that he will run out his contract coming on when we need experience from the bench.
Then a coaching role, he is such an excellent role model and a general good guy who will give invaluable lessons to the young 'uns.

I honestly think he's got the rest of this season and next season left in him. But he's gone and proven everyone wrong in the past! I hope i'm wrong because i love the fella ;)

Giggs has not performed for 5-6 years now, but on occasion he does "something" different. How many time does he run to the box - then lose it and does he run back, does he hell?

Well, this year he should *knocks on wood* get his 10th Premiership medal, and I think we all hope that he can get 11 to match his number next season. I think if he does that, he will retire.

I agree totally, he has lost a little when it comes to speed ,his ball control and fades are still great, but when he has lost out in play this year, he has been running his ass off to retain it. I hope nani can improve more and take some of the responsibility on the leftside so that giggs can stay healthy.

I have to disagree RD....
maybe he isnt the same player as 5/6 years ago, which was blistering pace and taking men on down the wing. He had a bit of Bestie in him the way he gave defenders twisted blood....

BUT you cant underestimate what he brings to the fold these days. He is a thoughtful player who more times then not makes the right run or pass. His experience is vital especially in the latter stages of games if we are holding a slender lead. He galvanises those around him and his aura most certainly affects both sets of players.

Also your point about him never running back is completely wrong.
How many times including this season have we seen Giggs running the length of the pitch the make one of his rescuing slide tackles. This guy is dedicated to the cause and always gives his all.

Even the 'great' Ronaldo could learn a thing or 2 off Giggsy about tracking back.
Ronaldo cant be bothered doing the dirty work but Giggsy always does.
Giggs is a rolemodel and a legend and he will still be putting in great peformances into next season and possibly beyond.

If anyone has earned the right not to be slated its our Giggsy.....

He made his debut 17 years ago.
742 appearences.
143 goals
9 Premierships
4 FA cups
2 League Cups
1 European Cup
1 Super Cup

That says it all really.
