Real Madrid are willing to make Manchester United wing ace Cristiano Ronaldo the best paid player on the planet.

DiarioSport says Real president Ramon Calderon is preparing a six-year contract offer for Ronaldo worth a staggering £40 million - AFTER TAX.

The deal would make Ronaldo the highest paid player in the game, but still may not be enough to convince the Portugal international to leave Old Trafford.

Jorge Mendes, Ronaldo's agent, is well aware of Real's intentions, but has always maintained that the final decision will be left to the player.

With United insisting Ronaldo will only leave for a world record fee - believed to be at least £60 million - if Calderon pushes through his plans, the Portuguese dazzler could become the game's first £100 million player.

Exactly, those were real quotes from their Director and it's a realistic one. Since when did United sell key players at ages like 22 and 23? It's the same old pathetic speculation and wishful thinking from Spanish papers.

United never sell key players. Ronaldo will stay for as long as the club want him to stay like he's said himself.
