A Premiership side AGAIN!!!!

Not just any Prem side either.

I'm glad it's at OT. We can win the game but what a tough draw!

Especially when Liverpool get Barnsley and Chelsea get Huddersfield - both at home.

We are just unstoppable in my opinion this year and with the squad we've got and the calibre of players within the squad the treble is on once again.

Arsenal are always tough opposition but at home I believe we will have the upper edge and with Hargreaves on fine form and Scholes back in action, we should win.

Nevermind Ronaldo, Tevez, Giggs, Rooney who are all playing fantastically well and my little pet Anderson ;)

Why do we always get such tough draws in the FA Cup, it's so unfair, I hear.
Who cares!!!
If you want to win trophies you've got to beat the best.

Bring on Huddersfield/Barnsley in the next round :D

Its gonna be a great game, but i really wish just once, that we'd get an easy tie against a lower league oppenent. At least we'll get bragging rights once we beat em.

We'll do 'em then go on to win it. im glad with this tie. It's at home so as long as everyones fit we should win and hen its bragging rights:D lol still a bit unfair though.

Relax, babe. No problem at all. Where? Where?

We always know how to handle Arsenal as evidenced in our previous encounters.... as long as we don't just sit back after taking the lead, inviting waves after waves of attacks until 'accidents' happen.

Oh, and don't forget to play Anderson against Fabregas.;)

And scoreline? Based on extrapolation and simple logic, (5:1) + (3:1) = (8:2) = (4:1);)

Next opponent please?

But seriously, I noticed in any competition, the team that scrapes past the stronger teams almost always win the trophy.

lol i swear the FA really hate us winning this compitition. anyway i can see this one going on for a replay. personally, i dont want it to happen but i can see a 1-1 scoreline.

God I hate Arsenal, why did we get them? :(

Same 'ol, same 'ol..............Liverpool and Chelski get handy "byes" into the next round while Manchester United have to do it, as usual, the hard way. Nothing comes easy and if your gonna win it you want to say that you beat Aston Villa, Tottenham and Arsenal along the way, dont you!

Not,

"Oh yea! Great season by us, to win the FA Cup! Great wins in every round, beating, Havant and Waterlooville and Huddersfield. We played so well there!"

All I can say that it will make us a better team and we're well equiped for it too. So........"B-R-I-N-G, O-N T-H-E A-R-S-E-N-A-L!! BRING ON THE ARSENAL, BRING ON THE ARSENAL............

We got to beat the best to win so lets give them a beating at OT.
This may have some significance in the destination of the Premiership.
If we can get one over on them and break their confidence then this game can be a really important one.

Ill never forget '99 when we played them on the way to that famous Treble.
Fantastic game with that absolute stunner by Giggsy.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u1r3bGm9YzQ.

Im a bit sick of those dirtbags Chelsea and Liverpool getting simple draws but hey thats life.
Liverpool so far: Luton, Havant &Waterlooville and Barnsley
United so far: Villa, Spurs and Arsenal. Spot the difference.........

This season has just got more exciting. It could well be a monster season yet :)

The draw was today, and I'm already hearing 3-1 and 3-0 from the Gunners... Absolutely ridiculous, and that's a fact. Their arrogance blinds them, no two ways about it. First, they need to consider some facts. a) We almost won if it wasn't for a last second equalizer, AT the Emirates. We nearly won at the Emirates, so we can do much better than that at Old Trafford. b) Hargreaves will be key. If he is fit (knock on wood), he has to ability to shut their midfield down. If he can do that, they'll have to play long ball to Adebayor and _______, which won't work against Rio and Vidic. c) Ronaldo is on fire lately. IF they can shut him down, they might have a chance, but we still have Roovez, Giggs, Scholes/Anderson, and more. So we can, and I believe we will win against Arsenal when we meet. 2-0 or 2-1, but either way, we're in to the next round.

again,we are drawn against premier league opposition, the Fa must really like us. Anyways,we can beat at OT without exhausting ourselves.Really,i could ask for a better time to face them.Time to kick dirt in thier face and continue on our potential treble season.

28-01-2008, 10:24 PM
they were lucky to get the draw against us at the emirates when they were playing the "best football in the league" funny how we have got the best defensive and attacking record in the league, still i dont expect anyone but united fans to appreciate that

We will beat Barnsley in the QF

it's more satisfying when you beat the better teams. In ten years when your talking about how united won the treble in 07-08 do you want to say that united only beat easy teams. or do you want to say united beat villa totenham and arsenal.

nice way to see how we would do when arsenal come visit us later the season
i think we would scrap through, i would really hate a replay, but i have a bad feeling about it. Are the african bunch back already by then?

i can't believe no one as mentioned the 2005 final the most one sided final i've ever seen without a goal being scored. we was robbed that day and nows our chance to put them out of the cup and the title race in the same season, revenge is so sweet

This season, we seem to be getting all the tough end of the draw and I'm sure all of us are relieved that we'll be playing at home. :( Especially when you see the Pile and Chelski getting easy fixtures. Oh well, SAF has always said that we always seem to be doing things the hard way.

Anyway, I think it'll be good for us to put Arsenal to bed early while our squad is relatively injury free and in good form. An added bonus will be to strike an early psychological blow to any hopes they have of vying for the treble and a preview of things to come when they visit us for their away PL tie.

Glory, glory Man United!!

Sorry but I didn't realise that a similar thread had already been started in the Chat section and I think it'll be better for me to join them over there.

All this talk ...

"It's a fix" ...

"It's unfair" ...

Etc, etc ...

Rubbish ...

The draw is made live in front of everyone !!

They have adjudicators etc etc I'm sure ...

This is just life ...

Thankfully Fergie and the team don't worry about all his nonsense ...

They just go out and do their jobs ...

And I feel confident that Arsenal are a lot more scared than United, lmao ... :p

.

Have you counted Millwall in that?

Not that it matters. United should be used to doing it the hard way by now.

I expect us to get through against Arsenal, then face Liverpool in the quarter-final, Chelsea in the semi-final and West Brom in the final  :D
